Yeah fair point also 4 months without a win which he could have changed it and given younger players some game time and didn’t would branthwaite have played as much if Keane started the season well dyche likes older proven players his constant picking of young and giving him a new contract shows this
Yeah I mean why would he have started Branthwaite if Keane was playing well? Not sure why that would be something anyone thinks he should have done.
The fact is Keane wasn't playing well, Branthwaite was rightly included as a result and earned his place.
Absolutely how it should be.

Sound. Not gonna pretend I know anything about him, but liking the player profile and seems to be highly rated with the potential to increase in value significantly.
He looks really promising to me, but then so did Dickson Etuhu, Sean Davis, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, and Leroy Fer, but they all turned out to be a bit plop

He’s played young players throughout his career.
Just stupid to automatically assume this lad won’t play because you don’t like the manager.

Surely if we are spending 10 million considering our financial situation it should be someone to play in the team not a prospect
I imagine it'll get completed in July (next financial year) and after amortisation might only be £2m say. Factor in the wages that are now off the books from Gomes and whatever's happening with Dele, and there's hopefully budget to develop the squad outside the first team.

I would imagine Villa need it done before July for their own FFP.

So this kid is at the stage Onana was before his move to France?

I think with Dyche there's biases on both sides of the discussion, and they cloud judgement. The detractors maybe look for/notice negatives that aren't always apparent, and the staunch defenders seek to justify most/all things he does despite evidence to the contrary.

so young was doing better than other players who weren’t even tried I’m not saying Patterson dobbin etc are world beaters but the argument that we had nothing better than Godfrey or young at right back or better than young at right wing is very weak
