Dyche doesn’t seem to like Patterson at all, though.
He cuffed him round the lughole, plus he doesn’t even call him Patto anymore
Probably won't matter after this season, Dyche won't be here anyway.

Hopefully because we’ve survived but new owners want a new man

He's been rubbish though. He came here having played a handful of games in Scotland and neither manager has fancied him at all. At some point some of it has to be about his ability
Weren't you shouting for simms cannon and dobbin??
I’d have Simms and dobbin all day instead of Beto and he isn’t rubbish played well in the games he played last season miles better than young and should be given a run by dyche when he gets back but more likely to get another clip around the ear

I think he’ll get another chance if he gets fit and doesn’t break down again. I’ve also seen enough of him to know he’s not ‘clearly’ better than Coleman and Young and only really has the advantage of youth. We can accommodate mistakes and imperfect performances if the team is more rounded in possession and hopefully we will be down the line given the players we’ve brought in

Mainly going on what I've seen live, but he was second behind only Gordon on the previous preseason Tour over here. Intelligent movement, quick and able to tackle well, great linking up and with good vision. Can see the likes of him, Garner, Iroegbunam and Branthwaite et al in a Carlsey-balling future, if given the chance, and if Lee rightly spares our ears for another few internationals.

He needs to play some fucking footy for fuck’s fucking sake!!!
People talking about him not getting in the side, but this lad has played so few senior games it’s unreal.
Would it shock you to learn that in an Everton shirt he has triple his entire career appearances for Rangers?
13 games at Rangers and 39 for us.
He’s a talent, he’s a baller, but the amount of game time he is getting is criminal. Any decent team with a real squad would be loaning him out if he’s not quite there yet but we’ll have him lingering around the bench because we’re run like a fucking tuck shop.
Not ready for the Prem after 13 appearances for Rangers? Quelle fucking surprise!

39 appearances for us? I thought at best about a dozen, how many are starts?

See, when people say this, they usually mean ‘How many times did he not make a mistake?’
Again - 13 appearances (not all starts or full games) in the Scottish Premier League before coming to us. No other senior games for any other team ever.
How many times was he perfect? Probably never. How many times did he look raw and undercooked? Probably most. How many times did I like the look of him and think there is a decent player there in the future? Also most.
The attributes are there. He’s big for a fullback, he’s fast, aggressive and he has a great touch. A great touch. Did I say he has a great touch?
The lad just needs miles on the clock, minutes in the legs and should 100% be selected over Ashley fucking Young every time or we are just hurting his development even further.

He should have been straight out on loan or never bought. He was the wrong player for us because we needed a starter
Even if he was potentially great (who knows) you have to wonder if he's now missed the boat having lost 3 years of his development here. Even now he needs a loan and we are probably so desperate for bodies we can't get him 1

You could stick an Everton badge on a plastic shopping bag and 40-odd thousand people would still turn up and pay good money to see it blowing around in the wind.

No thanks we've just got rid of one wind bag in Maupay.

Still only 22 can’t be writing him off already our next 2 choices are 36+39

Exactly, he’s got another good 18 years ahead of him
