It's the former Coventry striker I'm more annoyed about. How much were we being linked to Gyokeres for again? Bloke will be at Arsenal next season.

£20m that went towards Beto instead.

Christ. Had no idea he was doing that well at Sporting.

Yeah watched something on Gyokeres recently and his scoring record there is phenomenal.

I don't know how accurate it was, but they said is and 3 other premier clubs were in talks with him but once Sporting came in it was no contest for him... So we may well have tried to get him but didn't manage (depending on how true that was).

After the initial rumours it was pretty clear we were never getting Gyokeres based upon how much Coventry wanted, and when they wanted to be paid by. We only got Beto as there was a significantly smaller downpayment.

Why Gyokeres would choose to play in an inferior league is a bit surprising too unless he knew he'd smash it and then have his pick of big clubs.

What’s that? An Eddie Howe team conceding three goals again? Surely not

Comms banging on about Newcastle injuries while they have a £20m+ backup left-back ready to come on

Rough season for Howe, Saudis might have his head for the chop.

Quite enjoying all the Newcastle injuries.

This season has completely embittered me. Fuck other clubs.

Newcastle are up there with Liverpool for me in terms of dislike so it's always nice to see them getting pumped, hopefully we can do the same to them. They became even more unlikable when they went all 'nouveau riche' and thought they were going to take over the world.
