Seems pretty awful that tbh, would be much better off going 4-3-3 with the same personnel if we're changing something.

Think though it's been a few games and people are judging far too quickly. People just need to give new players time to settle.
That is not the Everton way

Why does it sound awful?

Ndyiae a better ten on and off the ball than KDH.

KDH an upgrade on garner in midfield.

He’s not a number ten for me and think it will continue to be a debate as the season goes on if he keeps playing there.

People just calling it as they see it. We don’t need to draw battle lines here.

Yeah you drop him deeper or play him in a three

I don't think kdh is a cm personally from anything I've seen from him, especially not in a two.

Maybe in a three if you want a little buzzy guy but that's basically what he's doing in the "ten" ATM and he's not doing it very well.

More than happy to see Grealish Ndiaye Dibbling as our three behind the striker but I dunno what the combo would be.

Because KDH and Gana has no solidity to it, we'd be so easy to play through.

Just because KDH is a better player than Garner it doesn't mean he's a good replacement.

We’re already easy to play through.

Moving Iliman in the middle should make it more difficult as he’s a ball winning machine as well as being a fantastic dribbler.

Then you move KDH back for garner where I don’t think we’d be missing out on much.

As loathe as I am to agree with Andy, I think kdh Gana gets walked all over.

I think the body of evidence for KDH in the 10 is too small to judge either way. Seems good there against teams we'll dominate / have the better of, and not good against teams who will dominate us.

Just need to put a pin in this for now, we have options in terms of personnel and formations should it end up not being a good option, but we're a few games in to a season and very little can be concluded from last night's turd of a performance.

I don't think we're going to be seeing him in a midfield 3 this season, we don't have the wing backs to give us width that would then allow Ndiaye and Grealish to play narrower. So those 2 are going to be doing more touchline hugging than is optimal

Even tinier sample size, but I’m already pinning all my midfield hopes on Merlin not being made of glass
