Yeah its madness to say get him in as a free body.
A squad needs to be fit, ready and able to add things when coming on.
He cant add anything...its a real shame but there is literally no point in him being here. He can not make any difference to us

Maybe we should get all really good players, you know, for little to no cash outlay, and win the league next season. Unearth half a dozen unheard of diamonds in the rough. That's what we should do.
I mean they're all out there, I just, um, can't name any of these viable options at the moment, or form a functional squad within a pre determined PSR budget. Well, it ain't my job tho is it.

Why are people doing this?
Jack Harrison has one goal (deflected) and one assist this season and his general level of performance has been very poor.
Why does not wanting to re-sign him mean you think we should sign mbappe and can win the league?
It’s just not wanting us to spend money on a player who’s been rubbish for us.

What is your point here?
What does Harrison add to the team? Seriously?
Why on earth would you be happy with him either starting games or coming on when chasing a game, or to sure us up?

Played 2000 mins last year, on for another 2000 mins this year.
6g+a last year, one off our best player this year (Ndiaye). 2 this year which is poor obviously.
Dwight Mc still to get anywhere near jack's best prem seasons.
I don't want him here next year, but he's broadly in the same bracket as 90% of our other players.

It was sarcasm. Pointing the finger back ourselves.
I guess it's about what is likely and reasonable. And not what's binary and simplistic.
We're still a long way from who we think we are, especially when, Branthwaite and Rooney aside, almost 9 out of every 10 players to have worn the shirt in the last few decades has been branded as poor, or considerably worse.
I'm not even particularly keen to re-sign Harrison, it's just that it's likely, or at least more likely than signing the 'next Kanchelskis'.
Certainly no one has highlighted 'the next', although I give
@Kerryblueboy credit for Wharton pre-Palace.

Load of waffle this mate.

That's kind of the issue though.

Just can't see it happening either way.
Surely we won't spend actual money on this guy?

He probably won't be here next season. Can't imagine we'll be keen to spend money on him.
People are being very dramatic about his crappiness though. Worse players will sit on our bench next season

McNeil and N'Diaye have spent quite a few minutes out injured for those comparisons though. Haven't they? Said that with nothing more than a hunch.
Also, whatever money and wages it would take to buy Harrison, I'd prefer to use it taking a punt on somebody else. We know Harrison doesn't work for us - so let him find a system that suits him again and we should roll the dice. It can't physically be worse for either party

Was better today but still has nothing about him other than going on the outside and dinking the ball in.

Leeds potentially coming up could change things.
Personally wouldn't take him at all unless at a push on a free.
You're right, we need a squad but good lord he's awful.
Whether Leeds come up or stay in the Championship has little/no bearing on Jack Harrison's future. Leeds clearly don't want him, so whether they come up or not, that's not really going to massively change things.

Was thinking it might effect the asking price if they come up or stay down.
Probably not though

They did want him - he refused to play in the championship and forced a move (or had a clause)
