Shambles

Apart from the handful of truly elite ones, every top prospect manager is just a shit one yet to be found out.
The Southgate criticism was always over the top. Thinking we just have to have more of a go at teams is proper armchair fan management. Even that great Spain team won trophies on pens and luck.
That was truly a shambles and has set back Carsley’s career years.

Shame after the initial couple of games for England under Carsley I thought there was something there to build on, and of course it's only one game so not trying to be dramatic but we seemed to be back to smushing name players in again at the detriment to the team cohesiveness.
England have looked rather shaky at the back in all the games he's managed too which is probably the biggest question mark.
He's done himself no favours with that performance though. I thought he was nailed on after the first two games, but that performance will lead to quite a few calls to keep looking around.

Have to say Greece surprised me though, they were looking far more threatening than I've seen from them of late.

As if Carsley losing a match against Greece means that the only option is dreadful Southgate football.

It’s almost as if Trent is a useless defender
And
He hasn’t bothered to pick a proper left back for any of the games either

They did play well, but England made them look good, any well drilled team will punish you when you give them so much time and space. Tactically is was catastrophic tonight.

Starting to replicate his club form for the national team, doesn't bode well

Yes, although he wasn't alone in that. Even Palmer who couldn't be in better form going into this looked totally out of sorts and missed a huge chance too.
Pickford's errors were just a bit more glaring, but that's kinda the way with keepers. When it goes wrong it's never going to look good.

Rotated in meaningless (although not for our Lee) friendly to maintain some interest from the 2nd 3rd etc choice keepers.
If Henderson is supposedly next-best, then daylight is officially second.
