5 times more money than Iraola at Bournemouth
I get you don't like him but it's just silly. He's probably been the cheapest manager we've had since moyes. He's cost us similar to deli Ali. What we've paid Dyche really isn't a big deal. Half as much as fucking benitez. Less than the compensation for the board members that almost destroyed the club. A fraction more than Mason fucking Holgate.
I really don't understand why people can't just say he's done a good job at a really shit time for the club but hopefully them times will soon be behind us and we can move on to better
People aren't being remotely fair or rational.

Because he's no longer doing a good job when we're fighting off relegation and objectively in the bottom 2 worst teams to watch in the league. He's kept us in the league but at what cost? Goodison is absolutely miserable. Fans hate it. Players hate it. Talented players being wasted. Let's move on and give the job to someone who might actually earn being the 6th highest paid manager in the league.
With our upcoming fixtures then it would be no surprise if we're well in the relegation zone come January anyway. Like his Burnley team, players get tired of managers like him. Only this time it's a better calibre of player and it's happened sooner.

Think we are all ready for a change but let's be honest if we'd been offered a manager for 5m a year just to get us to the new stadium we'd all have took it
Also he's kept us up but at what cost. Goodison is miserable. I mean come on goodison has been miserable for years and it's not because of dyche. We were worried that the club might disappear down the plughole and now you're asking at what cost cos the football is shite. Like his Burnley team we have a tiny budget. Let's provide our next manager more than Burnley do then we can demand much more

The at what cost thing is ridiculous. We were talking about relegation administration and no one wanting to buy us. A few were talking about the stadium not ever getting finished. We are on the brink of a decent takeover, the new stadium, better finances because of sales and budget cuts and all as a premier league club. At what cost because the football is shite. The footballs been shite for a decade. He'll leave the club better than he found it

Saved us from going down and we all said that if we went down we'd probably do the same again the following season. I think he's earned the money we've paid him and to suggest otherwise is pretty bizarre.
Yes let's pay the next man less and recruit both manager and players well to progress, but why does everything have to be so negative all the time? It's fine to dislike this moment we're in right now but it doesn't mean what's gone before also has to be treated with the same vitriol, especially when what he did pretty much saved us as a club.

Come on you two.
It’s ridiculous to be paying him top six wages, if true.
Stupid to suggest otherwise.

Gets paid half a million more than Thomas Frank to come and manage a club on the brink of relegation and the lowest net spend in the league over the previous 5 years, but with a much higher expectation level.
Doesn't seem that unreasonable to me.
Over the course of his contract he'll have earned about £12.5m plus whatever bonuses. How much would we have lost if we'd gone down, I'm sure I remember seeing something like £150m.
So I don't think he's been overpaid considering we finished above Brentford even with the points deduction last season when compared to Frank who manages a team that's also spent £120m more than us over the past 5 years.
The sentiment towards Dyche has changed this season, if you'd asked the same question at the end of last season the vast majority would have accepted what he was paid was a fair sum.
Again disgruntlement of this season is not allowing people to look at the bigger picture. I'll be glad when he's gone so we can all argue about it the new man is any good or not tbh

It's the least ridiculous cost for a manager since moyes. Obviously it's not good value this season but I'm not sure the cost over the 3 years comes in our top 50 wastes of money under moshiri. We paid ancelotti 220k a week and a bonus for finishing top bloody 10. That's mental. A top 10 bonus for a man on 11m a year

You’ve done nothing but moan about the money we’re paying players and managers over the last 8 years.
Now, with PSR and a period where we were having to sell players to stay afloat paying Sean dyche top six wages is sound?
A great decision is it.

12.5m over 3 years when we thought we might be relegated. It seems like 1 of our better deals. Somewhat different to moaning about paying deli Ali the same amount or gomes even more both to do nothing. It seems an odd 1 to be moaning about. You said he's done a good job. We paid benitez double

No. We always have. We can only hope we do again. I just don’t fancy us this season. Previously there has always been something to point at like xg or players to come back or good performances with no results.
This time I can’t point at anything I could pin my hope on. I would go for Broja being a revelation in January after all the shit games in December, only looking how DCL has no service, I don’t think it matters how good Broja is, you can’t score if you don’t have the ball.
Full on flap in 3… 2…
Yep, me too! Underlying numbers are crap, we are playing miserable football that must be demoralising for players - the only hope I have is for signings in Jan (with pace) and a new coach to revitalise the squad.

Any other clubs near the bottom paying their managers top six wages?
He would have done the same job for much less.

Probably not but he's way down the list of where we haven't gotten value for money. I don't really understand how it's such a big deal. 5m too much over 3 years in your opinion? It's a weird 1 to get too upset about

I wouldn't go back to before we appointed dyche and swap him for anyone else even with the hindsight of how well others have done. Honestly I just happy that it looks like we might have survived this period.
Each to their own but I'm just happy to have gotten through it and to now have more options going forwards

It's going forward that's the problem with our attacks
