Yeah, it’s happened to a lot of people in the south stand.
Upper and lower. It’s mad.
Even in the lower?
I have seen more aggro at the match, including splitting up two fights, then I ever did at goodison.

Seen people saying it’s happening in the lower, yeah.
Seen the aggro as well. Some people having a right go at the stewards on a few occasions.
The vibe is well off at the moment.

Strange one, isn't it

The entire South Stand. It's supposed to be the atmosphere generating stand in the ground. If you want to sit down for 90 minutes then there's the North, West and East.
If you're in the Upper South then expect people to sit down mostly but get up off their seats for exciting moments, attackers, counters, etc. Never got told to sit down anytime I was in the Upper Gwladys, so South Stand shouldn't be any different.
Isn't that expected in all parts of the ground? I thought we were discussing standing all game rather than standing up for big moments?!

I must be lucky as I've not really seen any of that around me where I am in the Upper South.
Same but most around me sit down after standing up for an exciting moment.
I sat in the standing section for one game and witnessed two arguments over people standing all game though. Which I dont get, that's surely why you've bought a ticket there?

Maybe but tbf there are lots of people that seem to be encountering it. We've also had people nearby who clearly aren't the usual sort of people you'd expect to find in the type of area that the South is supposed to be, not knocking them as we've had no grief but can defo see why there are issues
Id agree with that, but I think the whole "blue wall, atmosphere area" didnt filter through to everyone, it wasn't mentioned as part of the decision making process for anyone i sit with but we're also not standing fascists so it doesn't really impact us either way.

I was genuinely told to sit down in the South Stand Upper when we had a corner in the West Ham game mate, there's people in there that don't want anyone standing at all.

I'm very confused by all this. It's not a theatre. In what world do fans able to not stand up for exciting moments in a game? Bizarre.

Anyone been to that watch showroom?
My uncle’s lad took him for a tour and bought him the Bayern Munich 3-1 at Goodison watch. Which was nice because he was there with my dad.

On these yellow stickers... are we sure they're legit? Seems odd that there's no word from the club, also, if you zoom in, they say Goodison Park?
I can get behind the cracking down on discriminating language though. Football and football grounds should be safe spaces regardless of who or what you are. It's not about standing, or swearing.
EDIT: Sorry to post a vile account, it's the only image I can find that I can zoom in on and not lose resolution. But I think taking the opposite view to that account kind of proves my point, and I'm pretty sure "loads of fans" haven't had their STs suspended!

They’re legit.
They’ve been put on seats for the last couple of games.
It comes from complaints by other fans, and from there they can see you from CCTV. Personally think it should all be done in private as in the context of a football game a lot of things being said are open to interpretation.
The issue with the standing is being conflated.
Nobody is talking about standing all game. If you want to stand all game then go the lower south, otherwise you’re the knobhead.
The issue is being told to sit down when we’re on the break, have a set piece, have the ball near the box, or when the atmosphere is building.
You shouldn’t be telling people to sit down in those circumstances. I’ve seen it myself, it’s like people can’t wait to tell others to sit down and it makes for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere.
I sat in the park end for eight years and never saw it happen but it’s been a regular occurrence at the new ground.

I agree on the standing, it's part and parcel and needs to be expected. I think this will settle down as fans get used to the ground and where they want to be and what works for them. These are all teething issues that are to be expected. Frustrating, I'm sure (to experience it), but we've got this ground for the next 100+ years - it's going to take time to settle and feel like home.
Not sure what the 'right' approach is with the pamphlets, but discrimination does need dealing with. The idea is commendable, if the execution is lacking.
