We should only really be pushing the boat out for a right back in this window and if the opportunity comes to offload Beto or McNeil then replace them, all on loan ideally.

Squad doesn't need major surgery mid season.

With a RB and prem quality striker, we could really push for Europe. Shows what a difference a season makes and how shit Dyche is after a brief and thankful managers bounce

Isn't the fact we do have JOB and Patterson who can do a job yet are the 2nd lowest scorers in league, do we not need attacking options? I put the arguement if we had a few more goals in our side we'd be top 4 currently quite comfortably?

We're 'ok' at the back, get some different attacking options in, make a real push for Europe and address both FB's on day 1 of summer window opening?
I think the bit you’re missing is that our attack looks dysfunctional because we have shit fullbacks and rely on Ndiaye or Grealish making something by themselves, imagine how many more chances we create if they’re not constantly doubled up on because we have a competent fullback partnering them.

Kind of hope that's true and kind of don't.

I really would enjoy the rest of the season with JOB, Tim, Dibling and Barry all just playing every match (JOB in his best position) and seeing how much they can develop and kick on for next year.

I know we want to finish in Europe if possible, and the likes of Toney would make a huge difference... but I'm really enjoying watching the likes of Tim, JOB etc play well and it's making me really excited to watch us play.

Toney is on 400k a week in Saudi no way we are getting him here I am happy to keep developing Barry replace Beto but not at Barry’s expense

I think Toney will move because he will want to be in the world cup squad. Good player, but he will need to drop wages and I am not sure Moyes will want a third striker unless Beto moves in January. Both are possible.

I want nothing to do with Toney.

Too much off the pitch weirdness there, not to mention the general strategic silliness of pushing your chips in on a win-now move for a fairly ordinary team when you don’t have an infinite amount to spend.

Give those minutes to Barry and ride the ups and downs. He’ll come out the other side a much better player for it. Said it in the Barry thread but there’s a dearth of quality CFs around the league and aside from maybe Woltemeade and Ekitike (who we couldn’t afford anyway), I don’t see many young options I’d rather have or be developing.

He won’t be making the World Cup squad regardless as his off field antics are not in keeping with Tuchel’s - or the FA’s - standards.

Personally I think a RB is a must in this window.

Latest links on Toney seem to link him to Liverpool to cover for Isak.

It's hard to talk about this after a comfortable 2-0 away win when our resident striker has scored, but we can't forget all the games we really struggle to even create a shot on goal let alone can't hit a barn door. It's imperative we get a RB and a striker so we can offload Beto.

We will end up getting another CB and a goalkeeper knowing us.
