I definitely agree he's a much more rounded player but his overall contribution in front of goal is way below Wilson, and I'm not really in to DCL running the channels for England and chasing his own flick ons.

DCL needs to get back to being a regular goal scorer and although he's bagged a few recently I don't think you can necessarily say he's back... A couple were penalties which weren't even very good.

Like I said, I love DCL, he's my favourite current Everton player, but I'm not sure he'll ever get back to being what anyone should consider an international standard player.

Admittedly neither is Wilson, but he bags and his overall game is good... It's his injury record that lets him down albeit it never seems to affect his performances when he's been out for a while as he tends to slot straight back in scoring and playing well once back.

Linked with Newcastle as a replacement for Wilson... Only one year left on his contract and on a large wage, wonder what it'd take to accept a bid. £20m?

Yeah think he'd welcome that move and I think it would be a nice cheap boost for them. £20-£25 probably does it, and we are so, so, so much weaker.

He’s not irreplaceable.

I’d accept £20m if we can replace.

There's life after Dom. But we do actually have to sign someone.

Adebayo maybe.

Even with a year left he must be worth at least 30, I wouldn’t let him go for 20.

DCL + Beto + Chermiti = sound
Been + Chermiti + Adebayo = not sound
Adebayo + Chermiti = absolutely fucked

If he's not wanting to sign a new contract or we're not offering a new one then we need to sell if we're getting anything around £20m for him rather than nothing next year. Some work for KT but he's a career 1 in 4 striker so should be fairly easy to replace.

I know I skip over a lot of posts these days but I don't think anyone's said that have they?

Reckon there's been a few worthless shouts like.

@777Kidnappings you're usually good for a wholesale writeoff. What are we saying, are you driving him there etc.?

To Newcastle. Think he'd be a massive loss. Been really good towards the end of the season. Think unfortunately if he won't sign we will have to sell. 20m really isn't a lot to replace him with though

Much prefer him to stay - hasn't had a great season, obviously, but he's finally put together a run of games again and has really come good in the last few weeks of the season.

Not sure in our current position how we could replace him satisfactorily, at least we know what we're getting with Dom. Even if we got £20m for him, how much of it would go towards a replacement? Or would we go with Beto, Maupay and Chermiti (Championship, here we come)?

Plus, he's my 5 year old's favourite player - Dominic Calbert-Lewin. It's a hard enough fucking sell as it is but he'd be gutted if he left.

I've seen it in so many words... his goal drought was pretty bad for negative comments
