From 2.30 in......
I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone when people say this isn't a penalty, and that the rules actually say it's not too.
Something that no one has even touched on top is that if that was given as a penalty then Burn would have been sent off as he prevented a goal scoring opportunity without making any attempt to play the ball. So we got royally screwed two ways.

Yeah they've basically fixed the issue of players deliberately kicking in to a defender / throwing a leg out to make contact but made it so a legitimate foul no longer results in a penalty... But it's the premier league and they do something like this every season where about 5 games in it becomes apparent that the rule causes more issues than it solves.
Where are these rule changes?
I looked at the PLs list of new rules for this year and can’t find it

Maybe I'm wrong but I could swear there was a new rule about an attacker kicking a defender to win a penalty.

He's only 23 and really only had 1 full top flight season behind him, playing in a side in turmoil on and off the pitch. He'll play anywhere asked and is tidy and combative.
I like him tbh, useful player, he"s at that age where he'll need to kick on this season or he'll have hit that ceiling.

Don't think there's much more you can expect from him is there? He's useful like you said. Athletic enough, gets about, works hard. When the team improves he'll probably be a casualty but he won't be moving upwards from Everton imo, we either move past him over the next 2 years or something's gone wrong.

Do we know what's up with him?

Oct 31:
'Jimmy has got a longer-term injury. We're going to have to wait and see, but it's going to be weeks. It's a bad injury that we've got to be careful with. It's going to be beyond a month; I'm pretty sure of that.'

He tries passing the ball along the floor forwards and Dyche two footed him.

Been a massive loss, imo. And I don’t particularly rate him.

Conspicuous by his absence.

Fully hold my hands up.
Had no idea how much we have actually missed him until today.
Fair play to the lad, stellar performance

Anyone who thought he had that in him today is lying, but it's great when someone does this. Changed the whole narrative on what fans will think of him going forward

Not a big fan of his but he was terrific there. You wonder just how much some of these players have been held back.
