The net was cast far and wide.

All the way to the photos in the boardroom.

Pretty sure we tried for Potter first, seems like we told Dyche on Monday it was over and that would fit in with the rumours we'd approached him as well as West Ham.

I'm sure we had other possibilities but it does seem like once we knew we weren't getting Potter we immediately moved on to Moyes.

I hope Kevin Nolan is not involved in any set up. Thoroughly unpleasant individual.

Moyes been sounded out for a while now. Was always a case of when, not if.

Of course, I'd forgotten all about Potter. Funny as I'm watching West Ham now.

SSN reporting it's done.

Just need Weir announced as the new DOF for a Scottish dream team. Young Patto charging up and down the right pinging in crosses to assist some unknown South America goal machine. :)

Friedkin’s already fitting in with the usual Everton joined up thinking, such similar manager’s they were going for

Couple of journos have said that we weren't actually that interested in Potter and we may have been used in the media by his agent to push West Ham into giving him the deal he wanted.

Ah that fits.

I wish we’d just gone for Potter tbh, although I’m sure West Ham are more appealing than us these days
