First start since Sept, been injured, young lad learning his trade. Might not be pulling up trees but a bit early to be dismissing him fully

I don't mind him. Seems like he's quite a talented lad. Like his dribbling. Do think he's probably more a late sub at the moment. Him coming on against West ham helped get us on the front foot and back into the game

If Mangala hadn't fallen apart and Garner wasn't a ghost then he'd be nowhere near starting.

Next season he'll hopefully revert to 4th choice for me.

Plenty to work with just his awareness of what’s around him and the pace of the game is what he needs to work on

Never been convinced he has what it takes for this level. Athletic, good engine, but hasn't got the football IQ for the PL.

Yeah, he's 21 now, it's not like he's young and there's a chance of developing him any further.

Some players have it, some don't. We wouldn't have bought him had it not been for a PSR fudge and although he's better than Dobbin he's still miles off being a premier league player.

Technique isn't great, but as someone else said above his general footballing IQ seems quite low. Can be busy and has a good engine but the rest suggests a fairly low ceiling.

I'll eat my hat if he makes it as a regular starter here.

Just daft to write him off or say you expected more from this signing.

It is what it is. There’s a decent amount of talent there to work with so the hope is we can send him on loan next season and go from there.

It's just an opinion, I predict he won't be good enough, nothing wrong with that.

We only bought him for PSR reasons and that was offset by what we got for Dobbin. Whatever you do think of Tim, he's clearly got a higher ceiling than Dobbin.

I have a Villa mate who thinks he’s talented and gutted he left. I thought he had a lot of good attributes but his lack of awareness has tempered my initial hope.

Bring Armstrong in for next season. Loan Timmy out to Derby or some championship side.
