Yep it’s not just Moyes being quiet but the whole club has been quiet. It is weird.
But - I would say that this has been one of the better pre seasons that I can remember, in terms of performances and results. So maybe there is method in the madness.

All these amateur psychologists professing to know what’s going through Moyes mind, what his relationship is with the board, whether he’ll be here next season, just plain stupid.

It's just speculation about a reasonable observation isn't it? Nothing to get worked up about, it's what forums and chatting about a shared interest is all about isn't it?

Fair enough, it’s just so depressing that the speculation is mostly negative.

Like I've said previously, more than him sulking, I feel like someone above him has said ''no press conferences in pre-season, while we're trying to buy players and improve the squad''.
He definitely made it harder for the transfer bods last summer by slagging them off every few days in the press. I reckon it's a club policy rather than Moyes sulking.
Yeah this is the more likely reason behind it. Instructed to pipe down this time.

Quite right too.
This isn’t the Kenwright era where he had free rein around the place.

Just needs to trust players more this season. He flogged Grealish (until he got injured), KDH and Ndiaye last season and it bit us in the end. George and Dibling are showing some really good quality and need to be given more opportunities next season even if sign Grealish. If it's another season where they're sitting on the bench for 5 minutes at the end then that'll be annoying. Same with the midfield, loads of options in there now for him.

I would be surprised to see George dropped after his preseason, even if Grealish comes back, he wont be match fit.

I imagine you’d be right initially, but we’re not going to spend the kind of money on we’d have to on Grealish’s wages and not play him (a lot).
That’s when it might be an issue in terms of giving these younger wingers minutes.
I still kinda think right now if Grealish comes back we’ll have sold Ndiaye. Either that or planning on loaning Dibling unless Moyes is thinking of playing Brennan Johnson up top.

Please just go for it this season Davey, it could be your last season managing in football. Just play the hungry young lads that we have spent some decent money on and just have a go!
I'll take some goals conceded if we have go at teams.

He’s never gone for it ever in his managerial life.
More of the same incoming until he bows out.

It really struck me yesterday that we can now make multiple changes with no drop off, or even to give us more momentum on matches.
There's no doubt the likes of Rohl and Dibling are showing how much they should be getting serious minutes next year.

It’s fine trusting players in pre season friendlys but we all know Moyes at this stage tight game where you could stick dibling or George on to try and win it he will be putting on a defender to claim the point

Bloody hell, i'm no Moyes fan - but the level of amnesia and delusion in here is off the charts.
I saw somebody saying Moyes doesn't liek attacking fullbacks the other day. Like Baines and Coleman didnt exist
Or that he doesnt trust youth. Despite giving starts to Rooney, Baxter, Vaughan, Rodwell, Barkley and Anichebe. They all got plenty of time after their debuts (Didnt he play an 18 year old Januzaj in the champs league?)
I do agree he will almost always settle for a point though haha
