We'll crush him with overinflated expectations. Is he even match fit? Great news though but needs to settle in.

Imagine this being belted out at the new ground. Could be our new anthem.

One great thing about this loan is Grealish is someone younger players will genuinely idolise, and although they've grown up seeing Everton as perennial strugglers, here's one of England's most gifted players using us as a catalyst for their career.

The option to buy thing doesn't worry me. We wouldn't pay £50m (at least I hope not), it would be back to the negotiating table again if we wanted to keep him.

£50 million for a 31 year old is crazy no matter how good he is, that would be a top 5 all time transfer fee for an over 30 year old.

I hope it’s not him singing it

Yeah, he's not worth that at the moment never mind in 12 months, even peak Moshiri wouldn't pay £50m for him with only a year left on his contract.

We aren't buying Grealish no matter what happens this season, he's a classic fuck buddy situation, it's fantastic for a while but there's zero interest in a long term commitment.
Just enjoy the ride while it lasts.

He'll have 1 year left after this season.
If there is desire to make it permanent it'll be for a lot less than £50m. Cant imagine a world where we pay that much for an almost 31 year old in the last year of their deal unless he has one of the best seasons we've ever seen in the prem.

I wonder how many more matches make it onto TV this year because we have Jack? Enough to pay for the deal?

You could even see an extension to the loan and then sign him on a free, if indeed all goes well. Gets his wages off of City’s books and we get another year without having to pay a fee. All in the future of course.

At about 850k fee for a live tv game, we'd need a fair few. 1 x extra game maybe cover a months wages.
