Identical last 5 games form for us, Forest, Luton Brentford and Sheff U points wise. We have all 4 of those to play as well I believe, as well as Burnley. Those are the games that will make or break us from here on in

I’ve felt on a massive downer about us recently but it just goes to show that they are all pretty shit too!and we’ve also got a game in hand on most of them

We’re also getting a bunch of points deducted

Points deduction and if Burnley turn us over then that will be that.

Don't know how anyone can say we're down.

We're not in the relegation zone, our run of matches is relatively favorable and the 4 other teams down their are absolute shite as well.

Who knows what happens with this second points deduction but one jammy 1-0 win and we're probably halfway to safety.

We're shite but so are others and we were in worse positions the last two seasons.

Even ignoring the no win in 4 months thing, we've been awful at Goodison all season. Burnley, Sheffield United and Forest at Goodison should be a dream but reality is that I'd be far more confident if they were away from home.

Lost - Fulham, Wolves, Arsenal, Luton, Man United, Man City, West Ham
Drew - Brighton, Villa, Spurs, Crystal Palace
Won - Bournemouth, Newcastle, Chelsea

It doesn't exactly instil confidence. Sheffield United and Burnley are both looking better too. It's feasible that the match at Goodison next week could see us not beat Burnley and go below them in the table with a Monday points deduction, so it's not even like they're going to be a team lacking in faith ready to roll over.

We won't get deducted more points this season. Can't see it.

Jesus I forgot about the potential extra points deduction!

The form we are in feels a lot like the runs that brought the Benitez and Lampard tenures to an end

Final 12 league games of Lampard - 9 defeats 1 win 2 draws - 5 points

Final 12 league games of Benitez - 9 defeats 1 win 2 draws - 5 points

Last 12 League games for Dyche currently - 7 defeats 0 wins 5 draws - 5 points

Did we feel like Lampard and Benitez were anywhere near turning the form around and keeping us up?

Think we will probably go down either way - but finding it really hard to imagine a situation now where Dyche turns it around

I actually still don't think we'll go down, but I still want this throwback to be sent on his way.

Only way we are not in major trouble is because there is 4 more shite teams there with us 5 if you include Brentford all it needs is 1or 2 of them to start picking up points and we are fucked because I can’t see where the next win comes from

Just from my own thoughts and feelings... I've argued with the "we're going down" people on here a lot of over the last two seasons and always been confident that we'll stay up even when it looked bleak whether it was down to fixtures, from or just someone like Richarlison pulling us out the mire.

It arguably looks better now than either of those seasons but I'm just not seeing it. If we'd kept Benitez then he'd have taken us down. If we'd have kept Lampard then he'd have taken us down. We stick with Dyche based on the last 4 months and Goodison all season, as well the two times we've already lost to Luton this season, I'm hugely concerned.

I don't think we're winning that Burnley match next week at all.

Does it really matter?? Do we want to do this battle again next season without onana and Braithwaite??" Its not like the sky money covers the expenses anyway. There's no escape from here. Not unless an investor wants to piss a whole load of money away. Championship and administration awaits

7/2 with PaddyPower is looking generous right about now.

We'd cope without Branthwaite and Onana, even though they are our best players. Onana is wasted in the type of football we play anyway, and there's tonnes of solid CBs around the league who could do a job with Tarkowski along side.

It's not the disaster that some people think, selling them both. It's one of our ways out of trouble. Thank fuck we have them to sell tbh. The key thing is the reinvestment. It has to be spot on.
