When was the last time we scored direct from a freekick in a non-friendly? Digne?
Literally a few weeks ago against Wolves - Ashley young's first for the club

i don't know if its just me but i haven't seen any team score many free kicks over the last few years

seems like if we go back 5-10 years there was atleast 1-2 great freekick goals every weekend but now its like 1 or 2 a month

i dont know if i think this because i dont watch enough football outside of everton

You're right, also long range goals in general have pretty much dried up over the last couple of decades.

Might just be perception. James Ward Prowse is the record free kick scorer in the Prem, but has "only" scored 17 since 2014.
Goals direct from free kicks aren't that frequent.

He’s like a new signing.

Always rated him.

Will be interesting to see how he kicks on now he’s going to get lots more game time.

Good all rounder, feel he will only improve under Moyes too.

hes peaked with that screaming in slots face after the goal last night, up off the bench and straight into him, career high from a fans perspective!

Thought he was excellent, especially in the first half. Anticipation and energy to close down/intercept, and used the ball well. Tired.
