The fans enjoyed dyche ball prior to this season.
Think we mostly appreciated the situation we were in and his football perfectly suited what was needed.
He had the chance to kick on a bit this season but has dragged us down to his level unfortunately which is why the fans have turned.

For the time being...

Think the chance to kick on is a bit of a double standard. You've defended the dof signings by saying he just has to get bodies in. Then these bodies.... are dyches chance to kick on
Our chance to kick on for me is still a couple of years away. We aren't going to have a vast amount of money next season and about 13 players

Yes, I defend the signings because that’s what they are.
Doesn’t mean the likes of ndyaie, lindstrom, and managla arent good players being miss managed.
The chance to kick on a bit is me saying we really should have been a safe midtable team this season but we’re not and dyche isn’t comfortable managing a team wanting to kick on.

What’s the difference between us and Forest this season? Too simplistic to say better finishing?

Yeah, too simplistic.
We are anemic in attack with a good defense.
They are middling in attack with an excellent defense.
Their finishing hasn’t even been that great (about +2 compared to expectation). Just think they’re having tremendous “luck” winning close matches. They could ride this all year or regress to the mean a bit, you never know.
Absolutely horrifying how bad our underlying numbers are in attack. I know Dyche is comfortable with his sides creating fewer chances overall since he tends to have ways of engineering one or two big chances in those limited opportunities but if we were anything like a middling attacking team, we’d be feeling very comfortable right now.

They bought Chris Wood and we spent £10m more on Beto.
They also bought pace and we signed... Jack Harrison on loan.

Would you have Chris wood over Dom?

They also beat us to the £45m signing of Gibbs-White. We couldn’t compete and so went for McNeil.
Mangala is a Forest cast-off and is one of our better players.
Elanga, MGW, CHO could all play for a bigger club than Forest or have the chance to get back to top clubs. McNeil, Harrison, even Ndiaye, won’t.
Forest have outspent us by about £300m since they came up.
It’s not all about tactics and because Patto can’t get a run in the team.

Forest would be 16th under Dyche. Wood would have about 5 goals.
Nuno is doing a good job, same as he did at Wolves.

Yeah they've spent a fortune whilst we've been the lowest spenders in the league... This allowed them to buy pace and creativity we could only dream of.
Also whilst NES is doing an excellent job it isn't sustainable and they'll finish mid table or maybe because of the excellent start 8th or 9th.

Of course the managers and tactics matter.
Nuno is a very good manager. Has a system which is defensively very good, whilst being dangerous going forward.
His wolves team was exactly the same.
Forest are overachieving, we are underachieving this season.
We don’t have the squad of players to do what Forest are doing at the moment, but there’s no way dyche ever gets a team in the top six of the premier league.
