What's strange is we had a 'reserve team' that won the Prem 2 twice in 3 years... how many pushed on and because prem players?

When Unsworth shoe horned in as many over age and maximum age players as possible and everyone else was playing 17yr olds?

Quite a lot of players from those teams have gone on to have good careers to be fair.

Notable one is robinson who was always the stand out player.

Then you have the likes of Davies, dowell, kenny, Williams, walsh, Broadhead, evans

There's only something like 4% of academy players ever play in the PL and about 6% make a career in the lower leagues. PL2 is a million miles away from the PL.

What's strange is that we might have actually been planning for the future, which is so unlike us.

Which makes the scenario unlikely.

I thought a couple of times he looked to put a decent ball in and actually tried to pick someone out, rather than just lump it in the box.

I’d love this kid to cement his place next to JB.

Certainly looked a bit more composed in his last couple of appearances although on was Peterborough. Probably will be more opportunities for him if Moyes is going to start thinking about 3 at the back.

I’ve got tarkowski down as the guy moyes drops to make a bit of a statement.

Don’t think he’ll like how reckless and clumsy he is, and he won’t resist the chance to get hold of a young defender and develop him.

Think part of the shift was to see what obrien is like with the ball as tarkowski and Brathwaite to be fair seemed all over the place.

Still looked a bit cagey and reluctant to pass, whether it was a bit of nerves or just the options weren't great. Would like to see him do really well and be part of the future. Hope he's also got a bit of mongrel in him.
