I reckon potter would flop here. Like Chelsea. I know the pressure is different but I don’t think he fundamentally gets it. Few will, or do. Moyes did. Carlo did. Martinez did but hi high level of incompetence scuppered him.

Fucking hell, more than Arne Slot and Postecoglu, well and loads of others. Think that's about the 5th highest paid manager in the league if true. I know Dyche was comparable, but I'm not sure that makes it right.

David Moyes has reached an agreement to become the next Everton manager, according to Alan Nixon.

The newspaper journalist reported on his Patreon account on 10 January that the Scotsman will be earning £12.5million and bonuses as he’s penned a two-year deal.

My issue with appointing Moyes is he plays the exact same way as Dyche so I don’t know what he can actually do with this squad. Maybe a new manager bounce and a better feeling around the club will give us enough of a boost to bag a couple of wins soon but it feels very much like sacking Dyche to hire Dyche.

He’s got a much better premier league record than Dyche but that’s largely down to the players he’s had. Full credit to his work in the transfer market obviously but with having a director of football now I don’t see him getting involved in that. Side point: I always think of the exclusive deal he had to use the football manager database because the people who made the game were blues. Just a proper mad thing to do but absolutely genius.

We need to buy players to improve massively and I don’t see how we wouldn’t improve under Dyche with some good signings. Seems like a waste of money to me and we won’t see an exciting manager for another season.

I don’t think you can blame potter for chelsea really. They bought a completely new team of kids and said ‘there you go, win the league’. Absolutely batshit. Pochettino couldn’t make it work and everyone bums him. I think he’s overrated personally though.

The difference that I can see right away is that a few of the players on the fringes, that have pretty much been frozen out by Dyche now have a clean slate and an opportunity to win a place in the first team. The likes of Patterson and O'Brien for instance were never going to get a look in with SD. This is their opportunity to prove they are good enough with a new man at the helm who has no axe to grind with them.

We've been crying out for.a.little bit of attacking intent down the right hand side, yet our quickest full back does.not get an opportunity to impress because him and SD apparently had a bit of beef whilst away and Dyche gave him a slap. Spent money on a centre half that SD didn't seem to fancy. How do these players get better if they are not given an opportunity?

Maybe Moyes will give handsome Jack a.go on the left and switch Ndayie over to the right. Jack Harrison was reasonably effective on the left at Leeds. He's fucking shite on the right here, so maybe put him where he's been effective elsewhere and see if he's any better. Fucking hell, he can't be any worse! Dyche wouldn't do it, maybe Moyes will.

Maybe with our wide.players playing in their more natural positions, we might just get a couple of balls into the box. Mad theory, but you never know...

I look at that team and get PTSD style flashbacks, but I'm also thinking I'd have 7/8 of them over our current starters.

I hear what you’re saying but I don’t have a lot of faith in these players because of how they have played when given the chance. Patterson was crap against Bournemouth. I have wanted to see him on the right wing for a while though ala Coleman so maybe he’ll try that.
