Not sure I see the point in that tbh.

However, I think everybody deserves to be saved from Stoke

I don’t think we need to shit ourselves if we sell someone who goes on to have a decent career. He’s a Championship striker who MIGHT make it at a higher level, but we got good money for him. I certainly don’t think the club dropped a bollock with this one.

3 pens, 4 of his other 6 in one game.

I will be v unhappy if we spend money on him.

Remember people saying we should have kept Ellis Simms too. Barely getting a start at Coventry, 2 goals in 23 appearances so far this season. It's still a massive step up even for a reasonable striker in the Championship to the Premier League.

And between him and Cannon we got just shy of 20m that went straight to the psr spreadsheet

Am I right in thinking that this was the last of psr? Next season it’s something new, so does that mean vlubs can spend without fear this window?

I think maybe from the summer onwards

We will have a bit of wiggle room this window but not loads

Don't think it was anything like that, from what I can see both were undisclosed but Cannon is reported at £7.5m and Simms £3.5 rising to £5m, If we got anything like £20m for them there should be a criminal investigation, up there with Nigerian lottery wins that. :)

Just looking at the Cannon rumour and tracing it's origin and it appears to be the GiveMeSport website.

So yeah...probably not worth worrying about.

Also worth noting that Kenny Moyes is Cannon’s agent.

Love that we are all expecting signings, forgetting what Moyes was like.

Wont be anyone in until 31st.

In fairness, the window for clubs who are struggling is often around Jan 30-31st in practical terms unless you're willing to overpay. I'm exaggerating a little but the general point I believe stands.

Any decent player (which is hopefully the market we're in) often have options and like to wait until the last minute to see what the best choice is.

Anyhow, this isn't particularly a Moyes problem. It's more a symptom of being lower down the food chain and not being willing/able to overspend.
