Oh fucking onana. Yeah he's still a bit shit. Was trying to think of someone who was doing great. No wonder i was confused
Yeah he is shit alright he had 3 goals in his first 4 games starting dm for a top team amazing what a decent coach can get out of a very talented footballer

My point is more a general one that a decent coach would get more out of talented players like emery with Onana and if he had Ndiaye he wouldn’t waste him out in the wing he would be picking up the ball in midfield playing through balls and driving at the area to get a shot away

Just reading through the villa forum. They dint seem to think he's flying. Obviously you watch much more villa than villa fans and it goes without saying you're a much better judge of a footballer too.

Villa fans have all the same complaints as people on here had about onana and that's playing with much better players. He's not flying or transformed by a better coach. He's the same disappointment but getting away with his half arsed efforts much more because they win most weeks regardless

Illiman Ndiaye being out best attacking player and also contributing little is a legit convo that will emerge over the next few weeks as a topic!

Without him on the left, we have a problem getting the ball up the pitch without long balls. He seems to be doing a pretty important role for us at the moment.
From the little I remember at SU, he seemed to shoot more than play in his strike partner or create. Could be selection bias but he seemed more about individual skill and trickery than interplay. Which isn't fundamentally bad.

Thing with this guy on the left though is once we get into the tougher fixtures and he comes up against better full backs he will lose the ball a bit in his own half trying to work it up probably leading to him being replaced by Harrison there before the end of the month

James who's gone on to do what? Onana who I absolutely don't like and gomes who we paid 135k a week and was genuinely shite. I mean fucking awful
I loved james the beginning of that season. I didn't like him being a defensive liability and not really being too arsed for a fortune we couldn't really afford. Not sure why you think I loved benitez
