But, as Take That sang in 1992 (and The Tavares and Jonathan Paedo King before them) it only takes a minute, girl.

I know he's seen him in training and a bit of pre-season, i guess everyone would learn more from a january loan.

Yes but why not protect them, it's not like Grealish hasn't had injury issues the last few years

Problem is we only have one left back if you don’t count the right back that’s a right mid….

What am I saying? This squad is madness!

We have apparently used the fewest subs in the league with the oldest (who've played) squad in the league so there is a point there I think.

Was good in the 10 when he came on, pressing, hassling, giving it to better players, which was very surprising.

Now I know one swallow does not a summer make, but still, he was useful in seeing the game out.

Drove me mad though when he passed to Grealish when Beto was in acres of space on the edge of the box.

Not the only one who looks for Grealish when there's better options available, but that one was bad as a good pass would have had Beto 1v1 with the keeper

I don't think he was even aware the pass was on, it looked like he decided what he was going to do really early and did it without processing other options. Given his lack of confidence (although that does seem to be improving) I'm not shocked he's keeping it simple and playing the way he's facing.

I saw a similar thing on MOTD with Barry almost free on his own in the middle. Maybe first half? I dunno. The games don’t seem to stick in the mind as much when you only watch highlights.
Anyway, pretty sure that it was not McNeil guilty of that one. Just saying, like.

You just keep watching the highlights over and over Tobes.

We do seem to almost be allergic to playing direct to the striker through the middle in those situations. I sometimes see Barry and even Beto make a good run with room for the pass, but more often than not we're looking at any other option first, or we're too slow to see the move and make the pass.

First look should always be has the striker made room for himself, THEN look for someone else who can progress it.

Right now we are so predictable because the second anyone gets on the front foot, their immediate first thought is ‘Pass it to Jack Grealish’.

We're going to be seeing a lot more of him over the next few weeks I would imagine. No 10 role, top corner against Arsenal, back to cult status again.

Sorry thought you meant cunt status there 😉
I only want him as a last resort warm body, and only on the left wing.
