Think I'll give the bronze place match a miss.

Not sure i have the stomach for Mbappe up against Dan Burn for 90 mins 😬

Every single tournament he’s badly faltered in the knockout rounds.

I don’t think he’s scored a goal from open play in the quarter final onwards?
He’s a top player but I find it fascinating that he still hasn’t worked out when it’s the right sort of match to drop off and use his prowess on the ball and when he needs to be a proper centre forward and make runs to open up space for his teammates.

He’s so complete in terms of what he can do but somehow still underdeveloped in terms of deciding which traits to use in a given situation.

Needed someone else on to chase, he was literally bumbling around like an old man who had somehow made his way onto the pitch

It’s another mark against Tuchel. Another England manager playing their favourites in spite of whatever the game needs.

He looked out of it for a while that game and felt like another one of the reasons we couldn’t get up the pitch. We’re presumably trying to hit them on the break at 1-0 so why not give Watkins a go?

Kane has played well in games obviously but it feels a bit silly given his age to not rotate in other options more frequently than we do.

Four semi finals, two finals, one goal which was a penalty against Denmark.

Add in the missed penalty against France at the last World Cup.

He’s offered nothing in the big games for us and seems to get worse as the tournaments go on.

Kane is a great player in games you can dominate. That's why he's still banging 'em in for Bayern and for England against tricky, defensive opposition. That ability is worth its weight in gold.

But why on earth do you keep flogging him when your game plan is to hit them on the counter? He's not good at that, yes, he can spread it around and that can be useful but when you've got midfielders who can do that, and what you need is pace, it's sheer madness.

If nothing else, it makes him look like a lot worse player than he is.

Don’t fall their rebranding, call it what it is

Pointless third place playoff for two teams that really can’t be arsed with it and that no one will give a shit about

Just call it a shared bronze and forget the game

Still raging about last night, woke up several times during the night pissed off too!

I can handle being knocked out of a tournament, it's incredibly hard to win one. However there's a way to be knocked out, and that one was completely self inflicted. We weren't beaten by a better team, we had the final in our grasp, and then man brought in specifically for moments like this just went and shat the bed in the most horrific fashion.

It was avoidable, and that's the hardest thing to swallow.

Needs to go, apparently the FA have backed him so I hope the players have enough sway that he feels pressured enough to walk away. Back to Carsley please and let's go with building something like Spain have.

Media seem to be pushing it on the players…

Southgate wasn’t the problem, players aren’t up to it
Nobody in midfield took control
Should’ve been cutting out crosses sooner

So Argentine players celebrate by holding up a banner saying Falklands belong to Argentina in front of English fans , six of them earn a fortune playing in the Premier League, would suggest either Prem or FA condemn them for this but not likely to happen.

The dickheads at the FA just extended his contract before the WC.

Tuchel shat his lederhosen, needs sacking immediately.

Feels like England mens team are never going to win a major tournament in my lifetime.

Tbf this is probably one where I don't think Southgate deserves any blame 😜

Got it right for an hour

Then it was give the ball to the opposition and see what happens

If we had held out for extra time, it would be more likely to have ended up 4-1, they would have been lining up to score

Got it wrong after we took the lead, that old in danger of winning mentality - yes, mentality, Thomas...

You know that scene in Mad Men, when Don's in the lift with Michael, who says I feel bad for you, and Don replies "I don't think about you at all."

That's basically Argentina with the Falklands talking to England.
