I agree he's a bit shit but some bad decisions (off the pitch) come into that too. Like even Ndiaye struggled under 4 different managers in one season at Marseille but he's much better than that.

Don't think any of our players are peak Messi and Ronaldo, but also don't believe this is the best version of them. People have talked about Harrison having decent enough seasons in terms of productivity at Leeds. Lindstrom scored 7 goals and had 7 assists in a season at Eintracht. Look at Danjuma last year compared to elsewhere he's been. Same with even someone as crap as Beto tbh who scored 21 league goals in 2 seasons at Udinese in the top division.

These players aren't 'good' but under Dyche they're achieving either nil or close to nil in terms of returns. They're better than that.

A good manager gets the best out of their players, it's that simple. Ram is right it's hard to judge those who have only played under Dyche and Lampard.

However, Doucoure, Gana and Calvert Lewin for a start are objectively capable of better football than they are playing. Pickford being in great form again is literally the only good thing right now

Think we all agree we are capable of better. Not sure there's anyone who doesn't want rid of the manager. I do think it's a bit telling that people are arguing about the qualities of beto and Harrison elsewhere when in truth no one rates either at all.

I'm not defending dyche at all but I'm not having the players or the people who signed them aren't also extremely poor

I think it's possible to accept

Dyche did well last year
The players did well last year
The players are crap
Dyche has stopped doing well
The players are capable of better

Do you agree that there are other managers out there that could get a better tune from this squad and have us on more points?

Gana is playing as well as I think we could expect, I don't think there's another level waiting to be unlocked there.

Doucoure 100% won't improve under a different manager, Dyche uses him to his strengths and those strengths have massively diminished this season, there's nothing there to get out of him anymore and certainly not as anything other than a pseudo support striker.

DCL though I agree would benefit massively from a change of manager.

Both Gana and Doucoure have more ability going forward than they are being allowed to show even with their limitations. I still think Doucoure has more to give don't think he's done at this level

100% this.

He has to go. There is nothing he is showing that give me a sliver of confidence he can keep us up.

He’s now throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. He’s devoid of ideas.

For me - I think at this point we just need to appoint Potter. Hes capable of building something and if we go down he will be able to bring us back up.

Unless Friedkin has something lined up, I’d be ok giving Moyes the job as an interim till end of the season, he also sets up not to lose, but does know how to attack and find the right players on a limited budget. Maybe on the promise of a role as DOF if Thelwell is not going to be kept on.

Yeah now. Feels like we've hit bottom again. I'm absolutely not disputing dyche has been poor this season (and it's gotten worse) just the suggestion that these players are anything but bottom 6 and the dof has done a good job is equally daft as suggesting dyche is doing well

If you want to survive, you have to win games. To do that, you need to score goals.

He has had 2 years now as our manager/coach, and if anything, he has regressed. His record this season is terrible, and the football we are playing is barely even football. It’s as bad as anything I have seen as an Everton fan.

Who knows what the turning point was for Dyche. Was it Bournemouth? Or was it something else? Either way, his time is up, and now is the time for change.

The truly worrying thing is I think he's probably still another month away from the sack. Don't think there's any talk of it and won't be until we are in the bottom 3. We aren't a good enough to team give teams a head start and then appoint a new manager

Think the owners feel under a lot of pressure here. If they sack him and we go down the media will paint them as stupid and if we don't sack him and go the fans will blame them. They were desperate to not have to make a decision but we've hit absolute rock bottom now. Look utterly clueless. Don't think it was anything like the last 2 games even when we went 14 without a win
