Hutchinson as the alternative to Dibling is grim.

2024-25 season

Hutchinson 30 games - 3 goals - 2 assists, average passes 25.4, 84.4% completed
Dibling 33 games - 2 goals, average passes 17.8, 84.3% completed

What is the difference?

I'd be really pissed off with Vardy.

Just don't rate Hutchinson.

Doesn't he also primarily play off the left?

Not what we need.

Dibling has a lot more potential and I prefer how he plays compared to Hutchinson.

As third choice allowing Chermiti to go on loan. I dont think there is an issue with it at all.

I’ve been an advocate of it but I don’t think we can be taken seriously if we sign vardy and Grealish in the same window.

Why?

Much better to have Vardy here and Chermiti out on loan than having Chermiti as third choice. He's also more likely to add a goal off the bench than any of our strikers when chasing a game IMO.

Mentality wise he's incredibly competitive, wouldn't mind a bit of snidey competitiveness in the team tbh

What's Vardy going to want in wages? £70k a week? More?

Unless it was something like £30k a week with some appearance bonuses it'd be dead money, so not for me, we don't need a 3rd choice striker.

I think we need to be careful not the panic here. An over the hill, reliant on pace, Jamie Vardy isn't the sort of player we should be signing.

Everyone said we wouldn't solve everything in one window and is the way it's worked out. Get a RB and RW in and we look fine again. The midfield does look weak and especially so if there are some injuries but that's just the position we're in. We aren't going to suddenly have a champions league level squad after one window.

Get a RB and RW in and put trust in Beto/Barry to lead the line throughout the season. Not many teams in the league have more than 2 strikers anyway.

Yeah and any minutes Vardy gets are minutes Barry doesn't... Better to just let him play and develop.

We need an RB desperately, and an RW. Both on permanent deals ideally.

Then just a smattering of loans to give depth and we're comfortably top 10.

It's a good base to build from then moving forward, as like you said it's going to be a process over multiple windows to build a proper squad that's capable of pushing for those European slots.

Surely Vardys sole purpose (if we get him) would be 20 mins off the bench.

No way he comes in and starts over Beto or Barry.

Think people are underestimating how difficult it will be at this point to get players on loan who will be worth getting.

Actually think I'd stop watching us if we signed the rat.

Extreme I know , that's how much I hate and rate him now.

Just me

Like a goal against the shite though.

Arent we sponsered by Red Bull in some way? Some link to them? So for marketing purposes they would prob sign Vardy.
