Whilst he's quite different to most footballers he still has a somewhat stereotypical German sense of humour as seen in the 'Toffee Coffee Haus' moment. But you know he appreciates it deep down.

To be fair, everyone knew he was an obligation. If everton would have announced him.

People would be moaning, sarcastically saying "he'll be like a new signing".

Yeah, it was basically a done deal from last summer. At least that's how I looked at it given the deal we made, our financial limitations were really the only reason it wasn't "official official" until now.

I doubt Merlin is bothered, hopefully he's off with his camera someplace
