Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Josh Brownhill recently signed a new deal at Burnley.
It’s a shame, I know.

Wish him well. Think he’ll flourish in that midfield behind Rice & Odegaard.

Agreed.
I just hope that we invest the revenue in another player who will increase in value over a couple of seasons.
I know it’s a newer regime but I still don’t trust Everton to do player trading properly.
Just don't know how much "revenue" there will be. I think 20% of his fee is sell-on.

20% of profit not the total fee.

If the reported 40m fee is correct then that would give them 1m seeing as we paid 35m for him

So, if we make 4m on his sale, does that really help FFP at all then? Rather keep him if that's the case.

We'd get the £4m plus what ever is amortised I think the term is... So if we're paying £6m a year in transfer fees for him you'd add the £4m to the £6m we've already paid off.
So we'd get £10m for PSR purposes I believe.
It's why selling Branthwaite is so important as I doubt we still owe Carlisle any of the fee we originally paid, so after any sell on % we pay them everything else is pure PSR profit.

Well we are 2 years into a 5 year contract
So it would be the 4m plus 40% of 35m. 18m total. Plus it would be 7m a year less each each against ffp for the next 3 years. I think that's right

Good luck to him, hopefully means there's a slim chance we can keep JB.
Yeah of the few sellable assets we got, he's the one i'm not to bothered about selling

40 million? That seems cheap really, but I think he'll smash it at Arsenal

I wouldn’t be selling until after the euros worth 50 plus imo

Too cheap for me
50m
And why sell before the euros, unless the 30th June is a cut off again for ffp and we are struggling with it?

Are we selling before the end of June because of the psr rules? That’s the only reason I can see why we’d sell him cheap now
