Yeah never a better time to play palace than tonight, bang out of form, a bit of a mess changing managers and missing their best 4 players.
I've backed him 100% since he came in, i've never once complained about the standard of football due to the mess we are in, but tonight was unforgivable.
A piss poor selection set the tone for the night.

Best case scenario, he keeps us up, 777 get blocked, we get over all this financial shite and then someone with ambition and know how buys us and jib him.

He's OK for where are now as has been said, but that was an eye opener for me tonight, absolutely couldn't believe that team he put out, inexcusable.

He's just the great equaliser to me. Obviously we're never going to beat Man City or Liverpool but we'll be in a match with most teams in the league and that's been great for the away form where we've limited their home advantage and edged a lot of matches. The issue is that the opposite effect happens when we play at Goodison or we're the favourite. Every team knows they have a 50/50 (or better) chance against us and know that we're not going to break them down. If you're an opposition manager then just defend set pieces all week in training because there's nothing else to worry about. That Doncaster match earlier in the season where we didn't even look like the PL team until late in the match was an indicator of that.

Godfrey-Young when both Patterson and Harrison are available in a match like last night gives him absolutely no right to get pissy and defensive about the criticisms that people label him with. He absolutely is about a sound structure, trying not to concede and just hoping something good happens in attack. Obviously set pieces are hugely important as well. He will never be more than that and it's no different to what he built in 10 years at Burnley. You could give him Man City's squad and he wouldn't be in a title challenge because he's a bottom half manager. However, we're a bottom half team, so that's okay.

I've said it before but as much as Dyche is good for us right now, he is also incredibly lucky that we're in the mess that we are off the pitch because otherwise the Goodison crowd would never accept what is being served up. Based on his post-match interview then it seems to me he believes it's no different to Burnley here. Once we hopefully settle down as a club, whether that be in a year, two years or whatever, I don't think he'll last long in those circumstances.

Same same... last night was on him, his selection, his set up and not seeing it failing from the off when we could have been 2 down. Last night was his Benitez moment for me... his arrogance that he knows best.

I think to have a game at goodison with the context that game had, against relegation rivals, and serve that up for 70 minutes is a deep reflection of his understanding of the club.

We are not Burnley.

8 league games without a win has been grim like

In slight defence of Dyche he’s had Doucoure there for only 2 of those games and we lost neither of those. We need him fit and upto speed as the difference he can make is huge

If we can’t score from open play then we really need to get better at the set plays - obviously we scored from one last night and we are one of the best at the league at them. But we are so bad with the ball that we need to get even better at the set plays to get more goals.

Dyche won’t be here forever . When he was first appointed I just wanted him to get us to the new stadium intact as a premier league club and then for us to move on and progress with a more forward thinking manager - that hasn’t changed

My worry is that the Dycheifying of this squad may leave us in such a bad place that there’s gonna have to be a massive overhaul. It’s fine having a few hard workers with limited talent who can execute the managers instructions to the letter and run all day. But you need a bit of quality out there too

Onana and Branthwaite are realistically gonna be sold in the summer for a decent profit. Doucoure and McNeil I think will stick around and then you’ve got Harrison and Danjuma whose loan spells end at the end of the season. The worry for me is that we bring in a Brownhill for an Onana and a 30 year old slow Dyche style centre back to replace JB and then the quality has taken a massive dip

When we were in form and beat Forest, Newcastle, Chelsea and Burnley on the bounce we still weren’t actually playing well. But confidence was high and crucially Doucoure was fit and making the difference for us. The first win in that sequence against Forest we were shaky as well. Hoping it takes a slightly fortuitous win to get us back on track this weekend against Brighton

This fella will get chased, whichever division we're in, if we keep producing that sort of stuff.

My concern is that this is what long term with Dyche looks like. Lots of knackered players and players uninspired to attempt any football because of his messaging and his training.

We are absolutely fucked if we let him spend any money. He's fine for when...we don't have any like this.

But he should not be "re-investing" any of the Onana and/or Branthwaite money. Remember that we only got to see what Branthwaite can do (and will get that profit) because we were too skint to bring in Slabhead. Otherwise, he'd be collecting splinters with Patterson.

Problem is the complete lack of adult supervision, given how unsettled the club hierarchy is. And same is unlikely to be remedied before the summer window.

Thelwell will be doing the buying, assuming we'll have any money to spend.
