He’s as bad as them.

Don't think I agree with this. There's a difference between tackling and defending. He's not bad at tackling, but he's awful defending. The amount of goals we concede, even ones that you can't blame on him and he's out of position, lost his man, or whatever. He's an absolute myth of a defender as soon as the ball goes into the box, it's like he literally has no idea what to do. I'd rather we sign a dedicated right back first, because honestly how many windows do we need to sort out an issue we've had for years? We def need to moving on from Myko as soon as possible though.

Pickford

A few more additions and we'll be alright for a while.

I imagine there's little chance of Mainoo leaving Utd on loan now Amorin has gone.

Quite happy to give those minutes to Tim and Armstrong anyway tbh.

Tim's putting up elite numbers for defensive actions and although he seemed to leave a lot of gaps again in midfield yesterday if playing allows him to become more positionally disciplined and aware then it's worth the short term teething problems.

Armstrong looked ready, and although it was a small sample size the difference between him and Rohl was night and day. Again I'd rather play and develop him than send him back to PNE.

We'd be better off sending Rohl to Preston instead and keeping Armstrong.

I said this in the match day thread too, makes a lot of sense imo.

Myko from a positional and tactical standpoint is a very good defender. He will do what is asked of him to a pretty high level.

But ask for any creativity and for ability on the ball and it is very limited. He struggles to do anything outside of the box and to think by himself outside if the tactical constraints set out by the manager. You never get anything unusual or extraordinary from him. He just does the job he is told to do.

I don’t think he has any particular ability on the ball. His passing and crossing are bang average, doesn’t carry the ball well, doesn’t make many off ball runs and panics in possession when it’s unexpected. I just think his footballing brain is quite limited.

Added to this that he isn’t a risk taker and so won’t make enough overlapping runs in the game to cause an overload on the opposition.

If we want to progress, we need top fullbacks, and Myko isn’t that.

Wouldn't that be the third team hes played for this season. Plus we arent really allowed to loan out a player we have on loan

That’s genuinely the worst shout of the entire season.

For one, he’s on loan.

For two, you don’t sign a player like that and send him on loan to the championship.

What the fuck.
