A real shame.

Even though England is not my team I’m always happy when an Everton player gets a call up especially when it’s someone who came through the youth ranks or brought in originally for the U23s. Shame he wasn’t allowed to progress to the final squad.

Gutted for Jarrad. Played all season, was consistently brilliant and arguably our player of the season. Yet all that experience in a top performing defence, all that pressure he has shrugged off all season counts for nothing.

And to lose out to Lewis fucking Dunk. Jesus.

He’ll play in the World Cup for sure, not going to the Euros is not the end of the world, might have been included in the squad yet not to kick a ball.

He would have been a joy to watch alongside Stones. Absolutely bizarre decision.

Absolutely ridiculous. Got a serious case for the European Court of Human Rights here. Fucking joke!

Would rather he didn’t go than go and sit on the bench for four weeks which clearly was a likely scenario.

With Stones' injury record and the likelihood of Dunk getting absolutely rinsed then I thought he could have had a chance of getting in the team. Hoping the decision comes back to bite Southgate anyway, I'm absolutely gutted for the lad.

Shame for him. Glad he won't be getting scapegoated for our eventual exit from the tournament when we lose to the first strong team we play in the knockouts.

Still would have been Guehe ahead of him in Southgate’s reckoning.

He's had a very good season, but he's still inexperienced and hasn't played more than what? 35 mins of international football? I don't think it's a big deal he's not going as I don't think he should be thrown in to an international tournament as a starter anyway... I get he should be going as a reserve ahead of someone like Dunk, but I think Southgate will always take someone like Dunk because of his experience when the rest of the sub options are pretty inexperienced.

If pickford wasn't playing hoping they'd lose every game. Absolute cunt or a manager. Thought it was pretty obvious he didn't want to pick him. Barely gave him a chance to impress.

Also there's something seriously wrong with maupay. He's fucking trolling Maddison on twitter about being dropped

Don't mind someone being a dick but it appears his whole character is being a dick

If he was as good at football as he is at being a massive bellend he'd be going the Euros himself. Seems a bit mad to troll someone getting dropped for a major championship when he's never made it beyond a couple of U21 caps.

Exactly. Even goes beyond that. Hes played for 2 poor sides recently and neither of them appear to want him. He might be looking at a year of not really playing or lower league football and he's still at it. To someone he had a minor incident with months ago. I actually didn't have a lot against him and thought maybe he could contribute something next season but he needs to shut the fuck up and get on with salvaging his career
