He’s a solid enough squad player.

Definitely not someone you want in your regular first eleven if you have anything resembling ambition.

Missed the kick off by about 3mins yesterday. Didn’t realise he was playing u til the camera cut to him at about the 15minute mark. He’s not good at anything.

Hes an absolute nothing player. A consistent 4 or 5 out of 10. Needs replacing. He's a chore to watch

He’s certainly a good squad player, and we’ll need that, especially as he can cover right back if needed.

For being nothing more than not good enough.

I'd get the hate he receives if he was phoning it in the way Dom did for a while, but he works hard and gives it everything he has when he plays, he's just not brave or good enough on the ball.

Why any player is on social media is I don't know. Even if you're elite level you're going to get nothing but grief a lot of the time, never mind your average player.

I disagree.

I think he goes through the motions doing the bare minimum as a midfielder.

Definitely times when he hides from the ball, and lets players run off him off the ball.

How do we know who is phoning it in and who isn't just so I know going forward

Doesn't deserve the stick if that's the reason , it is what it is. Actually missed him at the beginning of the season.

I can understand some of the criticism of his use of the ball, but off the ball I feel like he does a decent job considering he's not really strong enough or quick enough. I'm sure I read some stats (on reddit, admittedly) that showed he was only behind gueye for tackle and interceptions in the team.

On the ball I can't really argue with you, he's very frustrating to watch at times and way way too safe.

Still don't think any of the above grants the hate he seems to get online though.
