£60 is a lot though?

How much will tickets be ?

60 quid a season for the privilege of trying to buy a ticket for around 50 quid per game.

I get that we have to 'get with the times' but it still stings.

Its doubled in cost. I also hate the tiered shite. Because the lower tier is pointless getting. So just have it as 60 quid? Dont try make out they have different options.

Imagine we’ll have around 10-12k tickets on general sale.

For a one off payment of £60 you should be guaranteed a ticket for the game if you want one.

The demand for tickets in the first season is going to be high so this is a good thing for people looking for tickets as a lot of people won’t bother getting a membership.

If they were clever about this they’d put in on subscription for £7 a month.

That way they’d bring in more money and it would be more palatable for people to pay, even if it is more money overall.

Tory shout I know but if people can’t afford a £60 one off payment then they most likely can’t afford a ticket for the game so I don’t see how anybody is being priced out?

In terms of memberships and ticket prices as a whole we’re very reasonable compared to most clubs.

When demand is so high for tickets it makes sense to put in some sort of priority scheme.

£30 last year and I managed to get a ticket to one cup game, and also got some coasters which I've used one of.

If an extra 60p a week means I can actually get tickets to games I want and can go to and get to sit with my dad and brother whilst also getting access to full match replays and digital programmes then I really don't think that's poor value in comparison.

I get that it's more money for people to outlay, but it just seems to be everyone wants Everton to be run more like a proper business and maximise non-football income as long as its not their money that's being taken.

Full match replays is worth having as long as it’s not Darren Griffiths and Ian Snodin doing commentary.

Well just spent £378 on a hotel package for two for Everton v Sunderland May 17th. Its a long time away. Just wanted to go to the new ground before I pop my clogs.

So who gives a fuck if fans cant get a ticket as long as they increase our revenue?

Or is that you can afford this membership so are quite content that loads are priced out as it increases your own chances?
I’m not saying that cold hard cash and market forces are the only thing that matters, I’m saying that income is driven by market forces not emotion, it’s a business nothing else and as long as every seat is sold it’s a good business, no well run business is going to leave money on the table, That’s the way of the world, nothing you can do about it.

If 60 quid gets me a ticket without looking at dodgy people and hoping a mate is feeling generous it makes sense. It's not that much nowadays even if I don't like it

We are assuming that £60 will actually get us the chance of a ticket. Given my experience with last years single tier membership, and the obvious demand for the HD stadium, I'm not sure I fancy my chances have got any higher, unless a lot of previous members have decided the increase is too much.

So don’t buy it, your choice but given that there will probably be twice the number of tickets on sale you probably have as good a chance as previously.

Supply and demand. Nothing more. It's a usual case of capitalist opportunism and the club have chosen to rip off their own fans.

Easy to say it's 'only' £60 or it's only £5 per month. Ultimately if you're an Evertonian and you can only afford to attend one match this season then you now have to fork out £120 for privilege.

£120 to see a football match.

People's club? haha.

It’s not a rip off ffs ! But give me an example of where supply and demand doesn’t determine price ?

You don't think £120 (although I'm assuming last season's ticket price here, could be more!) to watch an Everton match is a rip off?

Suppose those £10 chips you buy in festivals aren't a rip off either.

There’s about an extra 10k tickets available, maybe more do it will be a lot easier to get tickets on general sale next season.

So your £120 assumes you only buy a ticket for one match, fair enough, not worth it if you only want to go to one match, in that case I wouldn’t buy it.
