And that’s totally fine in this type of forum. We’re all discussing opinions. Those who feel lower on our flap scale or panic meter or whatever, will be of the opinion that those higher up will be worrying unnecessarily. Those who are worried will be thinking the others are burying their heads in the sand.

I don’t want to be the ‘It’s just bants, lads’ guy when people are bullying or anything, but this isn’t what’s happening. It’s just an exchange of opinions.

Yeah for sure it's not something that bothers me, but concern or whatever on the whole scale of feeling does not = flap but that's kinda how we use it?

I think this is just how we’re trying to communicate our feelings about the current recruitment situation and there’s a clear split between the Panicking Pats and the Chilled-Out Charlies.

We are living in the Darkest Timeline. Perhaps the Seventh Seal has been broken, yada yada.

The least we can do is be kind to our fellow travelers/sufferers.

Without using the word flapping I’m very concerned about our squad atm it’s a couple of injuries from relegation certs please make this the week business starts to happen

6/10

Frustrating but seems we are looking at the right level players that may consider us but have options too, which is better than shit players having our arm off cos nobody else wants them

One thing being missed a bit is that we will likely max out our 4 loan options, and those by definition never happen til the end of the window because they or the clubs want permanent deals usually

So that’s maybe half of what the incomings will be before the indie shuts, from an expectation management point of view we should expect maybe another 4 permanent deals until then.
RW, RB, CM and Aznou at LB I think will all be signed Permanently and then we will fill the squad out with loans

The result of this is likely a slow start, AGAIN, but it is what it is, and it’s better than it’s been

I’m still a 3/10 on the flap scale and I think part of that is that my overall expectations for success this year are lower.

We’re not challenging for Europe and (I don’t feel like) we’re in relegation danger so the difference between tenth and sixteenth doesn’t bother me.

Way more important was to sort our wage bill, squad age and have some young prospects to get excited about.

I fully expect that we’ll get some loans in to pad out the squad and two or three exciting players for the future like Anzou, Fofana etc.

Yes we’ll probably struggle in August over the course of the season we’ll be fine.

Success is looking at our squad next year and needing to make targeted additions rather than a whole new squad

After those quotes from Moyes then the flaps are absolutely warranted.

Still not QUITE flapping.

We might have one of them mad few days/week where we sign 3 or 4 and it immediately begins to look brighter.

We absolutely need fresh bodies in before the Roma game. I was saying we needed a few in before the US tour but we really need them in before August 9th. If anything just to get a bit of momentum going.

Excellent - happy to let selling clubs know we are getting desperate. Definitely help negotiations

You really don't like Moyes do you? Only ever see you posting negative about him.
