Horrible deal for me that, just under £30m on KDH who's been bombed out for two years and is 27?!

No no no, this is a horrible move

Excellent signing. Will be a fan favourite.

Chelsea's centre mid options are ridiculous, so it's not a negative reflection on him at all that they're selling him imo.

Just don’t like how Chelsea can sign a player for £30m, hardly play them then get their money back.

Should be taking at least a 50% loss on that.
Agreed, leaves a sour taste but I get the feeling that in real terms they are probably making a loss, that 30m won't go as far now.

Seems high but we needed midfield options, I liked what I saw at Leicester, let's get behind the lad and hope he performs

Will be taking up the box to box role vacated by the Duke.
Better passer of the ball. Will be expected to hit the ground running.

Agree with brap. Feels like a player who was great in the Championship but has never shown it in the prem.

Two years not showing anything and we pay nearly £30m for him.

I think £20m you can accept but not sure about him. I have some doubts he can play in a double pivot and suspect he'll end up as a 10 a lot where I think he's not nearly good enough.

Played the equivalent of 2 seasons in the prem, 0.15 goals and assists per 90, that's about 1/2 a jack harrison or just under half a Dwight McNeil.

You’re comparing a centre midfielder to wingers there Brap.

Bit of an unfair comparison. I don’t think he’s a player who should be judged on goals or assists but would be nice if he could chip in with a few.

I'm going wait and see. Price is borderline, we probably have overpaid but we're not in a super strong position right now.

Generally I have to admit he's flown under my radar, I don't really remember him standing out at Leicester in the PL and didn't watch his seemingly better season in the Championship. I don't think I've even seen him play for Chelsea barring some small cameos. However, sometimes you need to see a player week to week to appreciate what they do. Gareth Barry being another of those for me until he arrived. So I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise.

Feels like Chelsea bought him for Maresca but it hasn't worked out, or he's discovered he has better options.

It's a slightly underwhelming signing, but we're getting into desperation territory now so it's not surprising. I do think he's a decent player though and it's one of the midfield positions we really needed, quite happy with it really.

Chelsea have broken the market haven't they? Hoarding players and using inflated transfer fees and large loan fees to help circumvent PSR.

In Moyes' first spell we'd pick up players like this for a low fee, but it's just not the way it works now.

It is what it is though, you pay the money and you get a player who comes in, immediately improves us and should be entering the prime years of his career.

It's a solid and safe bet, and means we can hopefully now move on to securing our other targets.
