Now that we've got him on a contract, surely we can just refuse to sell him to Liverpool?
I know we're in the era of player power and all, but I think it's still acceptable to say to a player ''we'll sell you to anyone else in the world except that lot, and you have to accept that''.
Everybody has a price, sentimentality, rivalry, emotions don’t get a say in the matter, if someone makes an offer that you can’t afford to refuse he will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of any other consideration.
Nah. Lots of clubs the world over refuse to do business with their hated rivals. No reason for us to be any different.

Do you have an insight into what the new owners whoever they may be financial strategy is/would be ? I don’t but I do know that if financial survival/need to invest in other areas of the squad depended on selling a player for silly money then he would b e sold, it’s not the manager/fans decision it’s the board.

I mean, if there have been transfers between Barca and Real in the past, there's zero reason to believe we wont have a repeat of Barmby or Xavier in the future,

He’ll have better offers on the table.
Every elite club in the world will be after him, suppose liverpool will as well, but he’ll go to a team where he can fill his trophy cabinet every year.

Dude if Liverpool are interested in buying him, that means he'll be playing very well which will also mean a whole host of other big clubs are interesting in him (as they already are), so the choice won't be between selling to Liverpool or the club going under. Think about it a bit eh?
We can sell him elsewhere, and we will sell him elsewhere when the time comes.

That’s not a response to my reference to your saying we would not sell to Liverpool, think about it eh !

Think there's good reason there's been no direct business between the clubs for 20 years.

Pure class, put his body / face on the line tonight and keeps standing up to new challenges like a seasoned pro.
There was one outstanding moment where they countered and I think Isak would have been through had Branthwaite not chased back, spotted the intended pass and slid about 10 feet to intercept just as it looked like it would get through the gapping hole in our defence
