The penalty against Newcastle was stupid but every player at some point does something dumb. I know one thing for certain and that is we've been a hell of a lot better off with Tarks than if we'd never signed him.

I don’t disagree just I think sometimes he goes to do a player with the follow through when it’s unnecessary

He does for sure but usually gets away with it. We all remember the one on us he did and we were properly fuming about it. It's a bit of an old skool dark art is the 'reducer' but as long as he's getting away with it I feel there's a benefit to it. Just look at Delap last game, he's been in great goal scoring form and looked like a school yard clogger barging in to everyone instead of concentrating on doing what he's been doing which is scoring goals.

lol he’s an absolute mutt. But he was free and beggars can’t be choosers.

He's not a mutt FFS. He's not at a top club because he has limitations, but he's a very solid premier league standard centre back.

You can be a solid player and still be a mutt.

I get that some people like his UFC stuff but it’s all a bit cringe tbh.

It’s similar to when Ferguson was going around getting sent off cult hero but missing suspended when we needed him most

Except it isn’t remotely similar as Tarkowski hasn’t been sent off once this season or last, hasn’t been suspended, and hasn’t missed a game through injury

This is a very odd comparison to make.

I mean, this is a weird stance to take?

Have I missed something? Tarkowski has never been sent off in the premier league? It's been 11 years since his one and only red and that was in the championship.

He picks up a yellow on average every 4 and a half games. It's been 10 years since his last totting up offence.

His disciplinary record is decent for a centre half

It’s more the hard man way he goes about stuff completely unnecessary imo only a matter of time that he gets one wrong and costs us

Exactly the same. Think tawkowski played every minute last season in the league

I mean the hard man image thing and if he keeps flying into challenges he will eventually miss time one I hope he doesn’t because we are better with him but he is walking a fine line

Hes played 347 games and only ever had 1 red, so im not sure the line is that fine.
