I dislike most of these players tbh, even the ones that are likable. We've been crap too long and I'm fed up of players whose biggest attributes are their 'physicality' or their 'running'. I just want to see proper footballers playing for Everton again.

Would love us to get Ait Nouri from Wolves but we stand no chance.

Can’t afford to have a season with Doucourè behind Beto as strike force.

Would like to think that we will have some access to our sister club Roma’s scouting intelligence that we can find an un polished gem or two rather than the usual “throw 30mil in the air and see what we get”

Agree with you on this. For me the only players I really like seeing play for Everton are Pickford, Branthwaite, JOB, Tarky, Gana, occasionally Garner, Ndiaye, and Charly in the brief moments we see him.

We have a long couple years of rebuild ahead of us. Thankfully for us the gulf in quality between the Championship and PL seems to be growing so relegation battles should be a thing of the past for us. Need to get away from celebrating players who give a lot of effort as that isn’t what will take us forward as a club.

I think we shouldn't forget how bleak things were a few months ago, and sitting in this position now is actually a massive luxury and what we were all hoping for.

I don't think it'll be too hard to significantly improve our squad for next season and be targeting a top 10 finish and having a real go at the cups.

Think we all just want to fast forward to the summer in some ways, but we should be massively thankful that we get to the finish the season with relative calm and saying a proper goodbye to Goodison with no fears hanging over us.

Think we spend somewhere between £60-80m and bring in six or seven players.

Which will hopefully be enough to get us amongst the group challenging for European places.

Have to be pretty spot on with who we bring in.

Don't forget that there'll be 4/5 loans as well. It's not like we have to buy 12 players.

Not going to bring in 12 players though are we?

That would be a mess. I think six/seven players is fine.

Doesn't take us to like 18 players as things currently stand?

We will certainly ser some players with expiring contracts re-signed.

I'd bet Doucoure, Gana, maybe Young.

After that you probably need:
Starting RB
CM
Two wingers
Striker (maybe 2 if you want Chermiti out on loan)

And maybe we end up with a LB and an attacking Midfielder as well.

Even in that group of players you probably have 2 or 3 loans so I would expect more than 4-5 players where we actually spend dough.

Yeah I reckon about 8 or 9 come in in terms of buying/loans.

May bring some lads in from the youth?

Reckon Harrison Armstrong gets more of a go next season.

Hopefully re sign Gueye.

Leaves us with 20+ players.

Depends who we keep on and I’d like to think Armstrong comes into the fold.
