None of its been handled well even if it's the right decision.
All started with the manager turning up to a meeting to tell the owners he can’t do the job properly but refusing to resign so I find it hard to have any sympathy.

Don’t think it matters at all in the grand scheme of things.

We got rid and replaced 24 hours later so it’s been handled well for me.

That's such an interesting way of framing that scenario though. We've got no idea what what the nature of the meeting was, or how that conversation went. You're filling in sooo many blanks because you dont like the the bloke. It's also odd to think he'd just fall on his sword, if were going down that route then half the squad should be doing the same.

Unless he's outright tried to deliberately undermine the club (he didnt), then he deserves respect for what he did prior to this season.

It would have taken very little effort to take the high road and thanked him for what he did, even if he's incapable of doing more and has admitted so.

That's not to mention how it looks to other managers and the rest of the sport who usually know less about the ins and outs. I've yet to see a positive comment in the media for how we handled the timing and messaging.

No. TFG are absolutely right to send out the message they won't be fucked with.

All the reporting backs up TFG's "side" of the story, too. Dyche should be laughed out of the sport, but his "old school when men were MEN" pals in the punditry won't allow it.

Funny that. Wasn’t too long ago I was being called a dyche apologist.

I have my opinion purely based on the reporting of what supposedly happened and the way dyche seemed to manage us in the last couple of weeks.

Has nothing to do with liking or not liking the bloke.

The media will always come out in support of dyche. A lot of the comments have been wildly inaccurate but he’s a proper football man, he’s a British manager, so he’s always going to get the support of the media.

I think you’re exaggerating how much this type of stuff really matters tbh. They owed dyche nothing.

Not sure why we're still discussing something when we know nothing about what actually happened. It's like analysing why your ex cheated on you.... just get shut and get on.

The whole point of the forum is to spend hours discussing things we know nothing about.

Who gives a fuck if some corporate entity words their sacking message sensitively or not? It's all fakery and posturing anyway. The £5m a year for playing football from the 1980s is thanks enough.

Even if I absolutely adored the outgoing manager, I wouldn't care less what the final statement said.

It’s not really such a big deal imo.

I'd believe a nice send off message about as much as I believe a player telling us he's after trophies in front of the best fans in the world on the day he signs.

I think it's all been blown out of proportion personally.

We beat Wolves and then had 3 really good draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and City. It's clear Dyche wasn't phoning it in.

The alarm bells clearly rang though when he didn't feel the players did what he instructed against Forest and then Bournemouth was equally bad. Either the players didn't or couldn't do what he wanted, or he couldn't get across the message... Whatever happened it doesn't look like he 'gave up'. He held his hands up and admitted his time had come to an end and negotiated a severance package.

TFG might have been unhappy with his attitude towards this but I really don't think he's gone about things in any way that's damning. Better he did this then try plod on knowing he's lost the dressing room and his own fire to turn it around.

I don't think TFG owed him much with the statement because anything he'd done prior wasn't for them so it's a bit hollow to thank him for work he'd undertaken for someone else.

All a bit of a storm in a team cup imo.

Billionaire PR. Knew they’d dropped a bollock by not sacking him soon enough and were getting pelters from the fanbase. Changed the narrative nicely.

As American’s, they were probably incredulous that he had rights and was actually entitled to what was stated in his contract.
