He's been one of our best players for years and we've suffered every time he's been injured. The right time to go but he's a difficult one to replace

Definitely put in some of the biggest most important performances in key matches over the last few years.
Personally think we're going to miss him immensely but I can understand the club seeking reduced terms and him wanting a big contract before he starts to drop off.
One of the few over the last 5 years that could always hold his head high. I doubt any player has covered the ground he has during his time here and probably close to our highest scorer over that period.

A great servant of the club and always did his best, but if he truly wanted to stay he could have taken the offer instead of thinking he's still deserving. How much do you need each week to keep the wolves from the door? Wish him well but best decision. Moyes is trimming the fat at last

I disagree I think he's ticked past his best now, he'll never replicate the numbers he's put up in previous seasons, we'll miss that but we'll have to replace that in the squad whether he stays or goes.
Time to move on, he's been amazing, love his passion more than anything else, hope he lands a good club.

Him being injured for the run in in Carlo’s last season cost us European qualification

According to Moyes the club made an offer but he's had a better offer elsewhere, probably be confirmed where he's going at the start of the week once the season's finished.

Absolutely loved and appreciated him. But, just saw the replay of the Southampton game and the amount of time he couldn’t get the ball out of his feet or play a five yard pass is alarming. I don’t remember it being that bad a few seasons back. Good luck to him and thanks for the goals that saved us.

Another to let go, lovely bloke and loves the club, scored so many important goals, but best known for breaking up attacks, for both ours and the oppositions.

He’s got his big money pay off then. Signed for a team in the Saudi league.
