I've seen Gueye, Doucoure and Iroegbunam all with posts thanking Thelwell and bigging up his job in the last day or so.

Compare and contrast with the response to Dyche going.

I think most probably knew the fans sentiment towards dyche so a public statement wouldn't have gone down that well imo

I think they all hated playing under him as well, as evident by what we've seen since.

Nah I think most of us expected to see some bland platitudes from at least some of the players, you normally get that regardless.

I think it's pretty obvious that they've been given a little nudge not to tho.

Can't tell me tarks, McNeil etc won't have wished him well. It was a bad atmosphere and the sentiment was bad. Save the platitudes for private I think was the msg.

Think Moyes has had the most praise for Dyche from what I've seen. Seems to have recognised some of what he's done

They're just mates I think, not much more to it than that.

Knows they'll likely be on some TV pundit panel for the next WC or something, so can't be too scathing.

No need to click:

Mail Sport understands that Kevin Thelwell is in pole position to land a key role at Ibrox either as sporting director or director or football.

Should do well, he's used to working at a club without a pot to piss in.

Mourinho would fucking love the Scottish league managing one of the big two. Silverware every year to pump up his already impressive CV

His "everybody hates us" tactic would work wonders at a club where everybody, in fact, does hate them.
