Yeah it's total BS. 'News' accounts jumping on fan anxiety for clicks by making up stories because a new young player wasn't selected over an established experienced one who'd earned his starting place based on his performances under this manager last season.

It's great though, because it does what it is designed to do - have those already panicking having something to share and discuss and drive traffic to that account. Not exactly clever, but effective.

Disastrous window
And this is a shocking narrative to put out there when you are trying to build up a young striker.

The fuck do they think Barry thinks reading this about himself. I despair, I really do.

We've fucked it again lads.
Is this the Moyes who signed the likes of Soucek, Coufal, Kudus and Paquetta at West Ham?

Might want players that can contribute straight away, think that's highly likely given we need 2-3 players who can slot straight in given the gaps in the starting eleven.

Doesn't mean he only wants proven premier league players, the wording is deliberately ambiguous and like the 'EFC News' post designed for people already panicking to latch on to and spread around as being fact.

Only true thing we know is the window up to now has been the equivalent of attempting to fart and soiling yourself, hopefully by the end of it we're in a better situation with less shitty pants.

I’ll be surprised and impressed if this ends well at this point.

The sentence before about the committee only containing those 3 and no talent ID specialist is equally worrying.

Do you reckon Kinnear, Hammond and Moyes are pouring over the data from hundreds of players or are they going with what they know?

Think him coming on at 85 minutes whilst beto put in a generational stinker probably shows moyes isn’t fancying him.

I did post the entire article and it does say moyes wants to ease him in to the league. It isn’t clickbait or anything like that.

That's the end of the window for me I think that pre match presser.

Looking at bodies who can do a job now essentially.

I think Barry will be good but this where Chelsea buying Delap for no reason stings.

He’d have gone straight in and we’d be better for it.

Worrying signs if we are targeting KDH-like signings.

Ok ish players, reasonably expensive, raise the level a bit but minimal upside and no or limited resale value.

I'm up and down about it, it's too late for my liking because we're dropping points but I think we'll finish the window with a couple of good signings and another couple to fill the gaps and make us functional through injuries and AFCON.

Enough to push us to midtable once we get going. Things don't seem brilliant behind the scenes but they just need to get on with it. Forming storming norming performing - stop the whinging now and get on with what needs to be done.

It’s the same Moyes who demanded the same at West Ham and eventually fell out with their director of football.

He has form for this. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that we are in this position.
