We weren't getting recruitment particularly spot on pre Moyes so I'm willing to cut the fella some slack. We are failing whoever is responsible though, and the likelihood hood is the blame can be apportioned throughout the club. It's like Everton still believe in their hearts Seamus Coleman is a viable option. Even Moyes isn't willing to play him in 2025

At the moment top players are turning us down. In a few years hopefully we'll be telling them they aren't good enough to play for Everton.

I mean that's some rose coloured glasses. It was absolutely awful and nothing about them tactics nearly got us a point. Luck and Leeds being shit nearly got us an extremely undeserved point

Just all excuses isn’t it.

Part of good recruitment is identifying players early on who are attainable and will improve the team for value.

They’ve massively failed in that regard.

No one is daft. We aren't anyone's first choice and that pretty much means that the players we do sign probably aren't our first choice either.

So if Dibbling is done, probably get 1 more loan in on deadline day. Then 2 more in January

Moyes' tone in the press conference shows he's very disappointed we haven't signed the non premier experienced players, he clearly wanted at least some of them or he'd be looking excited not dejected about now looking at maybe the type of players people seem to think he's desperately pushing for.

I don't personally have an issue with the targeting unobtainable players, you never know if you don't ask. I think the issue is those players have given us a 'maybe if nothing better comes along' and we've sat there waiting and hoping. Again I don't necessarily have an issue with that as if we got someone like Kubo it'd be a game changer... But your entire recruitment policy can't be based purely on patience, because then you run out of time.

Needed to move on quicker and sooner. Maybe there's some in fighting now because nothing has happened for ages, but it seems they were all on the same page at the start and middle of the window.

I’d be more concerned if he was telling us everything was fine tbh. I want him to be pissed off about the lack of numbers as that really is concerning.

Not sure what he said about not being able to get some of our targets as we’re not in Europe is an issue - it’s a fact. Who we’ve been after has been documented in the press so it’s obvious to everyone irrespective of Moyes saying it.

All this talk of internal disagreements is pure speculation at the moment. It may or may not be true - if it is we’ll soon know as it’ll only end one way - the manager will be on his bike.

CL aside I doubt what's become of European club football competitions will sway any footballer these days.

You seem to be assuming the players Moyes wants and is disappointed in not getting because we couldn't convince the player are the ones we know about. I would recommend you challenge that thinking.

If a bid goes in these days, it's extremely rare the player is not open to the move.

That'd be bad business, we need 4 including RW (Dibling).

It is disappointing that getting players in is taking it’s time, but it’s the same across the division bar the “legacy” clubs and the promoted teams. We all knew it’s going to take three windows when we got took over, I’m not including last January, but once again amongst the majority in here, we’re impatient.
The club has changed from top to bottom, personally I’d have left this summer purely down to Moyes and let the new recruitment team start their job collectively from September.
The time to judge our dealings is
C: September 1st
B: January
But A: next summer.

Our bids all seem very public so not sure what you're on about tbh.

I agree but I'd be surprised we maximise that now this late in the window
