It’s the inability to add proper pace, we’ve got maybe 3/4 players who can be called quick. The central midfield is really slow.

West Ham have signed a couple of midfielders today. Maybe that's given the rumour a bit of impetus.

He just isn't what we need.
Don't think he's even remotely good either.

Don’t think Moyes is unprofessional enough to just sign players because he has worked with them before, nobody wanted to sign Keane or Garner yet we’d be fucked without them.
When he took over at United he immediately tried to get Baines and Fellaini. Got Fellaini like.
When he took the reigns at Sunderland he practically filled it with ex Everton players.
He's got form for it.
Don't blame him in particular as he feels he knows how to best utilise him but I just don't think we need him.

The only link at the moment is Footy Insider though isn’t it? Not overly worried at the minute

Makes grim reading for anyone that was for keeping Doucoure or wanting to sign TS

He said again today that loads of players have rejected us this summer, so as I've said before I imagine Soucek is probably a long way down the list of options. If he'd really wanted him, we could've got him all summer and it's no accident we're looking at him at the end of the window.
Moyes reportedly really wanted Douglas Luiz but we lost out there, so he's probably just thinking I know what I'm getting with Soucek. He's good in both boxes, he's a good character to have in the squad, it won't be a huge outlay and it will give me another reliable body in the middle of the pitch.
I don't think anyone's excited by it, even Moyes. If he plays 20-25 games and maybe chips in with 5 goals, it won't have been too bad an option.

Does this all still hold true when we buy him for twenty million and pay him a hundred grand a week?

No, that would be a bad use of resources.

That’s my main issue, reports are they turned down our fifteen million bid a few weeks ago and that’s already too high for me

Not an account to take seriously, but it's a new name and we all want a rumour, so...

Testing their resolve doesn’t sound like a potential good deal.
Come on, now, Davey. You’ve done so well so far, don’t get rash now.

You could hardly blame anyone for wanting Baines and Fellaini thou could you ? Who wouldn’t have wanted them back then ?
