From the BBC gossip page
Meanwhile, Arsenal have lowered their asking price to between £20m and £25m for Brazil striker and long-standing Toffees target Gabriel Jesus, 29
Such a disappointing signing if that happens, hit double figures 3 times in 10 season in the Premier League and hasn’t for 4 years.

He's a great player when he's not injured, which isn't often, but I'm more intrigued as to what their initial expectations were if they've lowered it to 20-25!! I thought they'd be just happy to get him off their payroll

Isn't a regular starter for Leeds which makes me doubt he'd be the answer to our prayers here.
Probably just a rehash of an old story because he's potentially looking to leave for more game time.
Leeds fans seem to think he gives the ball away too easily which doesn't scream of a player Moyes would be desperate to sign
I’m not convinced by him either. He looks really busy but doesn’t do a lot except move the ball around fast and I’m always skeptical of players who have to play high intensity all game to look decent.

Gueye makes about twice as many tackles per 90, tanaka makes a few more interceptions. Maybe of of a sitter? Honestly don’t know but I will say it’s not hugely inspiring, especially with Leeds linked to Shea Charles.
Feels like we’re doing them a favour.

Tanaka

Played 90mins twice last season
If its anything other than a squad filler for £10m then no thanks

Damning statisic mentioned on the Blue Room podcast from a few days ago...
Our last successful transfer that didn't have premier league or English football experience was Onana. He was only really a success because we flipped him for a good profit too, and not really because he made much of an impact on the field.
You have to go as far back as 2018 and the Digne transfer for the last overseas player with no English footy experience to be a proper success.
Pretty alarming that really, and raises a lot of questions about why we are so bad at recruiting from abroad when other teams have plenty of success with it.

We’ve already got squad fillers who can do that job for £0m.

Wow, that’s so bad, anyone any idea on how we’ve changed personnel in scouting staff since the takeover, or still the same faces?

Who’s to say lack of success from foreign signings is purely to scouting?
There are all kinds of reasons players might fail to settle or adapt, not all of which have to do with talent.
The club hasn’t had a coherent vision for how it should play in years, that looms largest for me.
I don’t think this one is as big a deal but… we often hold up Bournemouth and Brighton as models we should aspire to but those are both southern coastal locations that might be a bit easier to adapt to for players from the Iberian peninsula, South America, etc.
There are a lot of factors that play into this. I honestly don’t mind us targeting more players from within English football than other clubs as long as we’re targeting potential future stars from lower leagues or quality players who are unwanted at other clubs to keep prices manageable.
The problems really start when you pay top of the market for players who’ve already reached peak form and are upper midtable quality at best. See Sigurdsson, Bolasie, Williams, etc. or what we’d have to spend for Bowen this summer.

What’s Spence’s deal off the pitch?
The vibes in that Spurs dressing room are so rancid I’m not sure I’d have any of them.
Then again, he did appear to refuse a handshake from Partey so he can’t be all bad.

Seemed to blank Thomas Frank when coming off at the end of a match early in the season which gave me bad vibes about him.
Saying that though Tuchel's picked him which he wouldn't have done if he was a bad egg.
Hard to know really, what I do know is that he's a really good player. Very fast, defensively good and has a bit going the other way, more so than Wan Bissaka even if his primary strength is defending.
Can play both sides too.
Ticks a whole lot of boxes.
