Henderson is 3 years younger than Pickford. Ramsdale is 4 years younger. Pope is 2 years older. Realistically the only keeper who you could argue it's worthwhile easing him out for is Trafford and he's ruined that for now by sitting on Man City's bench.

But if you are of the opinion, and I don't watch any of them enough to know, but if you are of the opinion that they are better, or could be better - it does make sense

Well yeah... You could apply that to anyything... "if someone was of the opinion [about something]... it would make sense that they were of that opinion'".

I mean, your logic is undeniable.

No I'm saying if they are of the opinion that Henderson could be a lot better than Pickford, then it makes sense to say - it's a risk because JP is good but we need to temper the next GK. Doesn't seem that mad.

And in the article it says Henderson for example is rated better than him in the goalie xg prevented league.

Can’t be doing with xg shite, it’s the eye test that only matters to me. Could be my age, but I really can’t be doing with all the stats bollocks.

I don’t think he’s got anything to worry about. They all make a show of themselves when they deputise for him.

Pretty much, it says in the article 'post-shot' which take into account the shot itself not just the location the shot was from, but essentially the same thing - xg prevented

Exactly, stats have a time and a place, and that time and place is not when you have a paltry sample size. That ipaper article also says this:

"And given Pickford’s statistically poor start to the season – his decent display against Crystal Palace notwithstanding – it is possible this is the season he loses that iron-clad grip on his place."

So of those 7 games, one doesnt count because it doesn't fit the narrative...

Shite. I'd be pulled in by my line manager if I presented crap like that at work.

Its mad isnt it.

He may have an 'opinion' that Henderson is better. Its wrong but.... he is writing articles about it which are published.

it is his job to watch games, to compare the two. Not look at who is higher on a fucking stats table after 6 games. Madness.

Its not twitter or a footy forum, you cant just say well this is my opinion so .... do the proper research, watch and understand the game.

If i was Pickford, i would tell them all to fuck themselves, have a summer off and watch us go out in the groups.

Good job he is a professional sports person though and has more determination. But the lack of respect is astonishing. i dont understand.
