Nah there's no issue there. All relevant local sources have repeatedly said he's absolutely fine staying with us this season, has an excellent attitude and won't cause any issues at all.

Seems like he needed a minor op, and the summer was the best time to have it.

If we were selling him I'd imagine we'd still be giving him minutes in case the deal never materialised or fell through. Would be pretty dumb to have a player unfit for the start of the season.
