I've been saying to people today I think it'll be 1-1 and we'll all lose our shit over it even though it'll actually be perfectly fine.

However I don't want to see us draw 1-1 because I want to see some actual semblance of a team that might go far in this tournament.

Trippier at left back is a bit depressing. It's giving me Ashley Young vibes.

Think it's a performance/attitude thing more than anything.

People look at this squad and think they should be a lot more dominant, and tbf I think they're probably right. The defensive style (Denmark have started the stronger here) reinforces the criticisms against Southgate.

Having said that, it's usually defensive sides that win these tournaments.

... And Walker is potentially injured.

Free hit for Southgate to end the TAA in CM nonsense.

In hindsight, Southgate deserves more criticism for that Shaw pick. Even if he's fit at some point in the tournament then he hasn't played a match for 4 months and only played 12 matches last season anyway in the league.

Should have just picked an actual fit LB even if he doesn't rate them that highly.

Brilliant from Walker, and just before that from Rice as well, great pressing and persistence

Yeah just the 5 mistakes in the build up. Great from Walker obviously.

Very passive without the ball, Letting them get to the final third without much pressure.

Getting thoroughly outplayed here.

Crapper than the previous game. No protection for the defence at all, and the defence looks shaky as fuck, including Pickford.
