dixons point is really if pickford was ambitious and wanted to win trophies he should move to a top 4 club - these are the bigger clubs as we all know and regularly win trophies
we area big club we always will be - we are simply not a big four bigger club
loyalty and being happy yet still hungry for success is a rare commodity in todays game
and
pickford has chosen to achieve his goals with us and i think this will happen eventually esp with the backing of proper clever business like owners and the stability they offer us
pickfprd you legend

I'm watching this and all I could think of was wow, we've had some truly dreadful players playing for us in the past few years.
How we are still in this league is honestly a miracle

Think it's a complete fluke. The benitez/lampard season we deserved to go down but got a few results riding our luck. Definitely 1 of the 3 worst that season. Even the lampard/dyche season the missed penalty from leciester goes in we probably go down

Its pure luck. Hopefully never again will we be in that position

Bizarre series of events that led to us staying up.

Draw 2-2 away to Leicester where they had a penalty to go 3-1 up and finish the game. Vardy also hit the bar at 2-1.

They then lose 5-3 at Fulham. We kick off later and batter Brighton, a much better team than us, 5-1 for our first away win since October.

Then we lose 0-3 at home to City and they lose 0-3 at home to the shite the next day.

We grab a later equaliser to draw against Wolves away and they play on a Monday night at Newcastle where they're battered and then have a chance in the last minute where Castagne has a decent effort saved by Pope and it ends 0-0.

Then it's the final day where they beat West Ham at home and we beat Bournemouth. We stay up by 2 points and a 6 worst goal difference.

Leicester should have relegated us. Brighton on paper should have relegated us. The shite helped keep us up. Newcastle helped keep us up.

Was it 3 times we lost against Luton? We might think we are cursed but we have had our own share of luck in staying up these last few years.

Also the fact that in that particular season we where asked to show our books and we refused.

The Premier league changed the rule the following season which meant we would have was to submit books on request which meant the points deduction should have applied that particular season and we would have comfortably gone down.

Tonnes of dodged bullets being honest and some players massively over performing also.

Leicesters nose dive that season was alarming and bizarre in itself though.

Can't be arsed checking but I'm sure at the half way point they where something like 13 points clear of the drop.

Think they went on to win something like only 2 or 3 of their next 19 games.

It truly is and the more we look back at it, the bigger it seems.

One thing that I'm convinced of from now until the end of time is that we are completely unrelegatable.

The amount of terrible decisions made by the Moshiri administration including choosing to continue putting faith in Benitez at the expense of losing Brands as the DoF and falling out with Digne (we’ve not recovered from this as the money used from the sale for Patterson and Mykolenko led to our further regression).

Plus it was mad how long they persisted with Lampard and the shambles of that January, recalling Ellis Simms as if thinking he would help save our season.

I think Pickford and his Lucozade water bottle are part of the reason we are still in the Premier League.
