Appeal rejected,
Talksport going all in on Keane saying why did we even appeal , should have gotten an extra ban
Everton said we are not surprised though

The red card is distracting from the fact he’s been a shambles over the last two games.
Our last two clean sheets both came with him out the side.
Not a coincidence imo

Don’t think you can point the finger just at Keane…it’s been poor throughout the team from the management down….

He wasn't a shambles in the Wolves game, his mate next to him was though. Their goal was poor from Tarks and O'Brien letting Mane run down the channel. Edit: the whole team was vs Brentford so harsh to singe him out IMHO

Lucky not to get another match on top of that suspension tbh.

Appeal rejected...
Of course it’s rejected it’s Everton appealing isn’t it…..no chance of even a glimmer it would be upheld…..on the flip side they can’t do anything to martinelli as it wasn’t deemed as violent conduct and dealt with by the ref……hence it highlights the fact that VAR is now officiating games from 200 miles away…and while I’m ranting why didn’t the kick by saka last night right into the midriff of wertze.. from behind…even go to VAR? Similar to Keane the ref mustn’t have seen it as the lpool players were going mad when he stopped the game when the ball hit saka in the face….yet VAR didn’t even intervene!!!!! Says it all…

I mean, he was sent off for pulling the lad's hair. He did pull the lad's hair. I'm not sure what the club expected to happen by appealing.

Yeah was never ever getting over turned, all that would have done is create this grey area where hair pulling would be essentially legitimised as a tactic. No way were they going to open that can of worms, and rightly so imo. You can't have people tugging hair to gain an advantage as everyone would start doing it.

They were trying to get it reduced to a game ban and I don't think there was anything wrong with that

For me the benefit of the doubt should of gone with Keane…as the ball had gone…the player only complained once the ref stopped the game….Keane reaction of pure bewilderment when the ref stopped the game after the incident….keanes explanation (and others) of he also pulled his shirt in the course of the jump….
Like some have said what would have happened if he’d turned his head to flick the header on and his hair full of beads hits Keane in the eyes ?? Would that be deemed as dangerous play ?
I remember in a Fulham game on tv last seaso exactly that happened with iwobi…the player went down covering his eyes as Ito is hair had hit him the eyes….no yellow or red card there….accepted an accident but non the less !
Ye can’t play with chains, rings jewellery on…but ye can play with plaits of hair full of beads…. I wonder why that is….

You can see the lads head get yanked backwards when he goes to challenge for the ball.
It's a shithouse challenge and probably the only header he won all day. Disgusted at him personally, he's a goon and I can't wait til he's out the club personally.

Three game ban for that is ludicrous

Under what rule though?
You can't give a one game ban for violent conduct, serious foul play etc.
If they were to reduce it to one game it'd need to match a specific rule that applies to only a single game ban.
